Off first listen, I thought this was better than KD1 (which was still dope). 3-4 weeks later, I feel the same way. Starts off strong, and I don’t even hate the Eminem verse on EPMD2, though it’s nothing special either. Then that three song sequence from Store Run (my favorite track), Memories, and Nobody is godly after the initial strong start. Thought it fell off a little bit with No Phony Love and Brunch on Sundays. Not that they’re bad songs, but just not on that level of the previous three. It picks back up with Count Me In on to finish the album strong.

Even if I changed HHID to a 7, they’re still pretty close in quality to me. I Am had some of the best Nas songs ever, but it was also inconsistent with mediocre tracks. HHID was a more consistent album, although it doesn’t have the highs of I Am. The worst song on HHID is an experimental track with Nas doing that voice.

I fukks with this. Im skipping the Brunch jawn sometimes. Unless its sunday. Phony Love i might hop over that one most times. Like you said not cuz its bad its just wanna get to the fire that is Count Me In and Nas is good. I dont hate hit boy rappin on composure but it's enough to make me skip...sometimes. All this is based my commute where at most ill spend 1 hour in my whip in a day. Not counting running songs Rare back MULTIPLE times its a good 11 songs on KD2 i have to hear.. all or a portion with in that hour.

YKTV is heat to me, as is EPMD prior to Em showing up.

If I skip anything it's The Pressure. Just start at Death Row East and play straight through.

Honestly this album is a straight front to back play for me. nikkas will say I'm capping but I don't skip any songs on this at all.... and pressure is fukking DOPE... sets off the album perfectly....

"The pressure way a tonne its getting too heavy, had to inspire them again like i didn't already, real ones still around release the confetti...GOD'S SON across the belly" (and that little reverb at the end)

:ahh:

Just as dope as the KD1 intro with the "I made the fade famous, the chain famous...." first line

And I even fukk with em's verse on epmd 2, may be in the minority but I actually think he killed that verse, especially towards the end

It’s my understanding that people didn’t care for the Aaliyah song although let’s be honest , the probable Hype Williams shot video would have been on MTV/BET all day

You Won’t See Me Tonight was like the hood single on that joint because everyone was playing it even tho it wasn’t an official single.

I don’t even consider Dr. Knockboot a real song, but an interlude. I fukked with it from that perspective and thought it was funny. I thought the Aaliyah and DMX joints were just ok (especially when the joint with Scarface was much better in my opinion). I Wanna Talk to You could’ve been better (Pac’s Dear Mr President was way better), KISSING was aight, as was Money is My bytch. Big Things I never liked at all.

This is crazy to me, out of those 3 feature tracks I'm putting Aaliyah first, DMX second, and Scarface last. (I never cared for the beat on Favor For a Favor)

But You Won't See Me Tonight still slaps to this day. That's one of my favorite "mainstream" Nas hits.
