Well her only studio album is known for multiple songwriting and production credits she wouldnt give to the point she got take to court lol. She did Che Pope wrong especially.

Any great rapper known for bringing a gang of other writers and producers together and "curating" have multiple skeletons in the closet considering how much other nikkas did for their projects. She tried to prove she was the mind behind her album by doing a 2nd album solo.... that no one has heard

Alleged ghostwrittens too and we know about some Wyclef ghostwrittens on Fugees too. Damn near all the great female MCs are known for ghostwriters too - Latifah, Lyte, Kim, Foxy, Nicki etc besides like Jean Grae and we already know Nas has written for female MCs before

She hasn't rapped on wax for almost 2 decades. She is more than capable of writing that verse considering she is undoubtedly one of the GOAT MCs. However, it's obvious that anyone's belief (NOT MINE) that she didn't write her own verse comes from a place of shock that she's been MIA for years and comes back and doesn't miss a beat. It's a testament to her greatness. Nothing more, nothing less. No comparison to the Nas "Untitled" nonsense.

I know you said thats not YOUR belief but even that scenario is bullshyt. So its believable that a proven MC got her verse written by a GOAT (a verse thats arguably better than the 2 that Nas provided) but its farfetched that a proven MC couldnt have been writing in her free time, staying sharp…like most MCs

That scenario is less farfetched than the one you decided to compare it to (someone ghostwriting for Nas), hence the false equivalency. That was my point.

Lauryn has always kind of rhymed like Nas, that was part of her appeal and without any evidence there's always been whispers about Nas helping her with the pen...


...0 evidence though. Nas was helping some Trackmaster/Stoute artists out (like helping Will Smith) and then you had the Lauryn rumors. Will never made it a secret, he always said that he would write and Nas would tell him how to improve his lines.

The Lauryn shyt was kind of born from these connections but again NO evidence. Forget about sounding like Nas, did that sound like a LAURYN HILL verse - it absolutely did.

So with no evidence just give her props. Innocent until proven guilty. Prolific pen until proven to be a tracer.

Black Milk said it awhile ago. Completely produced, mixture of samples and live drums/bass. Her people have the files if I remember correctly. He didn’t get paid at all, they just took everything and shelved it.
