I haven’t even been able to listen to this jawn because I got my in laws over and other family here :mjcry:

Breh all you gotta do is say you gotta make a store run.

Sit in the Kroger parking lot with some headphones and vibe out to the album in peace…

If your wife asks you what took you so long tell her traffic was bad.

She’ll either believe you or think your cheating. Either way you won because you got to listen to the new Nas album and avoid your annoying ass in-laws for a spell

East Side!
9/10 Nas can save a weak beat with his flow/bars etc...

this was not one of those times. That beat was BASURA and overpowered him. If he raps the same lyrics over almost any other instrumental it would be miles better.

That song is way too overproduced, LIG is flawless from tracks 9-to the end of the bonus tracks but I felt the same way about Queen’s Story, Nas was flowing his ass off but the beat too dramatic for my liking. Not a fan of the concept on Accident Murderer either. But LIG was Nas flowing and spitting at his best in a while. The production on KD2 is better IMO both both albums are great to classic

So your ready to put this ABOVE Stillmatic and It Was Writtenq:dahell:

I think we conflate the importance of an album with just the overall quality of an album

I've been listening to Nas from the beginning..my top 3 has always been Stillmatic, Illmatic & IWW

After listening to this, I think it's a better album than IWW

Lyrically, IWW was better...it was a top 2 most impt album of 96 (golden age of rap)

KD2 just has so many jewels, immaculate production, great sequencing, song themes, and overall cohesiveness...I really digested it, this album is gonna be held in super high regard

this is a 5 mic album no doubt
