I’m not a fan of when Nas tries to do more modern shyt flow wise. This is going all the way back to the “Big Things” It’s just not his bag so I really couldn’t get into that song with The Future sample

Store Runs might deadass be a top 10 Nas track

As I'm looking at the New York skyline
Reminiscing on night time, shootouts with my guys
Pouring this white wine
You could Richard Mille your left wrist keep in perspective we on God's time
What happens when dealers reduce to addicts?
What happens when Kings don't see they potential status?
What your exit plan? Face to face with my omens I never ran
Stood on stages most never can't, pyrotechnics and leather pants
Shifting the culture
Mention me with Mick Jagger and Bono like your poster
I'm standing next to rookies some how they looking older
The altitude I'm at is so cold it'll make your nose run
How you expect to get love if you don't show none?
I should send you lil nikkas on a store run....

I got the hood playing golf, wow, boss style
Crucifixes over the Chrome Hearts you'll get crossed out
People battered down, Asian hate getting passed around
Tiger happy both his parents lives matter now
Marble floors is my common law we company builders
I inspire those who inspire you to run up millions
Not perfect persistent keep it more pure than the purest
I do this for the 'jects and them good hearted jurors

:ohlawd: :ahh:

Impeccable, bro been really dropping classic verses for 30 years :wow::gucci::mindblown:

Nah breh,I gotta beg to differ here. Regardless of who wrote that, ain't no excuse for rampant blatant disregard of your own fans who pay to see and support you.

For a "grown man" album Lauryn shoulda had enough humility to accept her faults and not make excuses for such unprofessional and erratic behavior. That wasn't some social media created myth. She's been doing that shyt for YEARS and not giving a fukk about it.

:camby:
I 100% cosign this I've seen her twice once at Rock the Bells at Governor's island another when she toured with Nas. Ridiculously late both times erratic performances made us leave till Nas got on

that 40 Side could be a king von song but he still Nas on it, shyt is hard as fukk, you crazy, Nas doing these young nikkaz style better than them but you don't understand that flow anyway that's you don't like in when the new rappers do it, he can do that type of song and make it his own, which you gotta show you could do that to let these nikkaz know they can't fukk with you

I ain't gonna lie and idk about y'all but when Nas said he was working with Hit-boy before KD1 came out I was mad skeptical......because I always thought of Hit-boy as a commercial trap/ mumble rap producer from the artists he's worked with before. With the crazy trap beats, hi-hats and spider sounds. I was like "no way this is gonna work, Nas ain't gonna sound good over that style of beats...." I was disappointed there would be no Primo, RZA, or Pete Rock beats.

But man, Hit boy proved me wrong.....I didn't know his bag went so deep tbh. Some of these joints sound like legit Dilla / Kanye shyt.

Good post, but it just shows you Nas can work with any producer and make it sound right

Yeah that one for real restores that early 00's feeling for me, cruising in my older cousin's jeep all night bumping Nas, Mobb (my favorites), Lox and MOP (my cousins favorites). :wow:

Got me in my 2nd Childhood or something. :ahh:
