I like this better than the first King's Disease

Yeah, it's official. This is fukking beautiful music. It's like Life is Good mixed with Late Registration. It's unbelievable how Nas is pushing 50 and he's given us not one, not two, but three incredible projects consecutively. The King's Disease series is going to be looked at in the future as essential Nas, on the same level as his earlier work and Life is Good.

King's Disease won Best Rap Album. Next year, we're going for Album of the Year. Billie Eilish and all those other critical darlings need to be prepared for a war. :birdman:

I think what people to fail to realize is that the Eminem verse is technically proficient but it's on the opposite end of the spectrum of the vibe and tone of the song and that's pretty much been the collective compliant about Eminem for the last decade. Yes, he still "has it" but he doesn't know how to ride the pocket. It's not 1998 or even 2003.

That's why I wish Eminem would have hooked up with Nas sooner. "The Cross" was a personal song, but prime Eminem would have nailed that feature and actually given Nas some competition. In 2021, Nas is still exploring new parts of his music and trying to top himself, while Eminem is stuck in neutral, making music simply because he has nothing else to do and going in circles.

This is just my theory, but I feel like the people praising Eminem's verse on here are people who barely listen to Eminem, or haven't checked for him in years. That's why I called the verse generic and computer-generated because Eminem has written this same verse hundreds of times in the last few years. You can literally go back to both versions of Music to Be Murdered By and hear this verse. Or the "Killer" remix that came out in June. Eminem relies on the same tricks every time, and he thought he could do that on "EPMD 2" without realizing that he was completely out of his element.

Packing like a Rasta in the weed spot, vocals'll squeeze Glocks
MC's eavesdrop though they need not to sneak
My poetry's deep, I never fail
Nas' raps should be locked in a cell, it ain't hard to tell
