I can picture a nice laid back video for "Nobody":ohlawd:.....this song is perfect for Nas/L Boogie in a live performance:whew:

L Boogie probably turn that shyt into an acoustic performance. :mjlol:

I love her, but damn last time I saw both of them in concert, Nas had to save the show. She likes to experiment too much on stage when we just want to sing along with how we heard the song on the album. God bless her though. It’s the artsy fartsy people who make this shyt interesting.

Hit Boy always was a talented producer in my eyes even far back during the HS87 Days….Highly creative, intelligent, and versatile.

He’s very good at crafting beats that fits an artist’s specifically. Hit is what you call a producer-producer…you can tell that these aren’t throwaways or random beats he just made for Nas.

They both bring the best outta each other and it’s crazy to think this but when it’s all set and done Hit Boy may be remembered as Nas’s best producer.

Im not saying he’s the greatest producer of all time or is better than Premo or anything but I’m speaking more so on they’re chemistry musically and how they sync.

The majority of ppl would say Kanye>>>>Hit Boy but even a musical genius like Kayne couldn’t create a masterpiece with Nas.

We all heard God’s Stepson with 9th Wonder…it wasn’t bad or anything but 9th producing a Nas album would’ve been lifeless and boring with the same damn drum patterns used over and over again.

Premo and Nas will always be good but the entire album would’ve been all boom bap with scratches on every song that sounds extremely dated.

I seen someone compare Hit Boy to Trackmasters and think that’s accurate because they could make different types of beats that capture Nas’s thoughts n feelings and make it cinematic.

Great album :wow:

It's better. Beats are more dynamic, flows are better. Both were strong lyrically, pretty much equal. There's a symmetry between both, with Nas embracing that OG role again and giving out jewels without sounding like he's preaching or looking down on anyone.

This is also the happiest Nas has sounded in a minute to me. No Phony Love doesn't have that biting anger that you heard on some of the ladies tracks on LIG or KD. He's looking past Kelis and these other chicks. Man on a mission shyt.
exact vibe I got from this album off a few listens, I’m loving the space he is in right now musically and in his personal life.

he had quite a few gmb references in a few songs :troll:

Nas doesn’t do “side projects”. The last time he tried with Distant Relatives it went from them just doing an EP to a full blown album.

He can if he decides to:manny:

He's on his own label now so he has more freedom.

I'd at least like him to jump on more features. That's a ton of beats on Griselda projects I think he would've sounded great on. Same with the beats Madlib gave Gibbs on Bandana. I want to hear him with Conway, Kendrick, and a few more rappers.
