I don't wanna hear Nas work with illmatic producers. But I definitely wouldn't mind hearing him work with dudes like sounwave. Madlib. Alchemist. 9th. Kenny beats. Terrance Martin. Robert glasper. There's plenty of great producers and musicians he could connect with that aren't washed up.

But him and hitboy have great chemistry. Got this album neck and neck with Isaiah Rashad for album of the year. But Kendrick might come through and crush the buildings before the year closes.

Some sites have more weight than others in the calculation of the score.
It happens all the time the Metascore is never the exact average of all the ratings.
Oh ok..... no doubt. I never knew this but it obviously makes sense. Because I definitely was wondering like "who the fukk is Clash". Salute

The Windy City
album of the year hands down. Kanye went down dramatically and sacrificed himself so that HIT BOY could FLY and have his shine. I never in a million years would've thought the guy that produced *N In Paris" would be the guy to be producing classic albums with Nas. I'm in awe a this unlikely pairing but i'm all for it :salute:

Everyone keep saying this so I guess I'll enlighten. I think that 98 is just a misprint for now because the average of the 4 scores should be around 90. The scores are 100, 100, 91, and 70 so far. So unless they're doing some new age math or some future algorithms, it should be 90. This shyt don't matter anyway but I guess the grammys and all that other bullshyt factor in these scores when debating.
Yeah AOTY has it at 90 right now. Thing is they might have some scores they haven't posted yet.

Metacritic doesn’t use “straight math” with their scores (yes i know its dumb) some of the publications scores are more “weighted” than other publications for some reason. Like for instance a perfect score from Rolling Stone “weighs more” than a perfect score from Clash.

Hit Boy can do the commercial releases but I'd like Nas to do side projects or EP's with other producers especially ones he hasn't worked with yet like Madlib or Daringer.

Nas doesn’t do “side projects”. The last time he tried with Distant Relatives it went from them just doing an EP to a full blown album.
