I think they should chill on the follow up. Too soon especially if it don’t add up to a kings disease. Too much pressure.

I think firm album, this secret album he had planned with Dre or whoever (jay-z I heard a rumor), lost tapes, then follow up and let the king retire.

For some reason I feel before he bow out he gonna drop a project with Premo and Large Pro to bring it full circle then he'll prob drop a final album and bow out whenever that time come. I remember round Kings Disease's release he was on Torae's show and he said he wanted to do a joint album with LP and hinted that him and Premo may be cooking up something when. Torae asked him

I can def see Nas running it back with Hit Boy...and I'd welcome it. But I do hope we get that second secret project, that he talked about. I'd make a prediction tho: if that project was a Dre-produced album I bet it will never come out, and Dre's perfection/joyless sessions will definitely convince Nas to head back to Hit Boy. And I wouldn't blame him lmao. No disrespect to Dre but nobody is trying to re-do verses 10 times and deal with 100 writers/producers/yes men in the studio.

If it's not Dre I have no idea who that secret project is gonna be with. What do you guys think
:patrice:

I wouldn't be surprised if Nas hit the studio with Hitboy without using his beats. With Hitboy playing the role of engineer and being someone to discuss and bounce ideas off. The production on KD was amazing imo, but I think the way they recorded it (which was basically the complete opposite of how he recorded the Kanye album) played a large part of why the album works so well.

King’s Disease is back at number 1 on the Apple Music Rap Charts:ahh:

:whoo::whew:

NaS and Big both on the charts 27 years later. Hip Hop Class of 94 still doing the damn thing. This is good that NaS is going to get a Critically Acclaimed Grammy Bump across his whole Catalog. Also cool seeing all the headlines he's getting about this being long overdue. Very happy to see this happen for him after so much hard work all these years.

I'm glad for these kind of push because it allows new generations to go back and listen and figure out why Nas is put in such a high regard. And streaming platforms are actually great for that

perfect time for new generations to go back and listen to his deep cuts. Imagine a new generation getting a hold of Undying Love, Blaze a 50, Small World or Drunk By Myself.

I have a feeling that there is so much music left ahead of Nas. Both new music and stuff he is sitting on. Who would not be inspired to go back at it and try to build off of the success of The album of the year?

My sister in law (VERY SHALLOW 24 year old) was just speaking to my wife yesterday about how much she hates Nas and everything about Nas. Hates his voice and everything and brought up Jay and my wife was like “u buggin the fukk out and what the fukk Jay gotta do with anything? Why people can’t like both?” and they almost got into a heated argument over it. Lol.
