I know yall discussed this already but I'm curious as to what the consensus was. What yall think Nas and Hit Boi might be cooking up in the studio?

Maybe Hit Boy is making his own album and wanted a Nas joint. Maybe they're just vibing, or doing another album who knows. Nas doesn't seem like the type to do a deluxe album to me...that's such a new thing, and something not even all new-ish rappers are doing. I couldn't see Drake/Kdot/Cole doing a deluxe, much less a Hov or Nas or Kanye etc. The album is the album for them...you make it and move on.

Or...it could be that Nas was working on the other project and was longing for the energy he felt with Hit. I said it months ago but Dre's studio sessions are like the exact opposite of Hit Boy. Less free expression, less "fukk it lets try and see if it works," more structure and perfection. That shyt would bore me. Hell you don't see Kendrick or just about any other big rappers working with Dre like that...and it def is a reason why. The last place you want to deal with second guessing and hedging is the studio.

The World, but from BK
Horse and Dula touchin' paper (uh-huh)
Plus, Spud and Wallet Head, a lot of bread
And I was talkin' to Tia
I went to her block, I was just happy to see her (what's up Tia?)
And low was how she did me (ooh)
She moved from Queens to Co-Op City (ooh-wee)
She said, "Visit me, that's if you really miss me" (I did), show proof
Ten nikkas outside her buildin', that's what I go through (damn)

Goddamn if this wasn't the truth for me when trying to check a chik especially if she lived in the pj's. The danger I put myself in for a chance to smash in my younger days, hahaha. A lot of dudes can relate.

That's true.. The way he effortlessly does different types of songs is almost like a gift and a curse for him because for some reason certain fans can't accept how diverse his pen is. The old Illmatic fans hear a Replace Me and their head explodes lol
Bruh absolutely explodes and that's why nas never full receives the sells he should get because of that divided fanbase. I really cant think of another overall fan base that sticks their artist in one box. Personally, I like diverse Nas when he does a little over everything and I know alot of us do. However, reading some comments in other places and people wont accept Nas doing anything else outside of premo, Pete rock or alchemist.

Snoop Dogg is another example. Snoop has a diverse fan base, but outside of Doggystyle, they are divided. Anything after Doggystyle that doesn't have Dre beats is frowned upon. I guarantee Last Meal, Top Dogg, and Blue Carpet Treatment are considered the best Snoop albums after Doggystyle. The common thread is Dre has production on them. Meanwhile Rhythm & Gangsta is slept on.

It's crazy because he continuously chooses to be diverse but certain fans just won't accept it. Literally since It was Written. We're talking 25 years! Cats are still trying to pigeonhole him into that Illmatic sound lol

Just got in the house was blasting Replace Me in the whip.. That shyt sounds crazy. Should of been a hit smh

People will go back, like Bron is now, and look at his body of work and just
be amazed at how great he was and still is. All these years in the game
and he continues make great music.
