Yeah, I never got that IWW being a sellout talk, look at joints like Shootouts, I Gave u power, Take it in Blood and Affirmative Action, how are those joints sellouts? And If I Ruled the World was Hip hop, with the Kurtis Blow hook on a break beat. I will never understand that shyt, even back in 96 :gucci:

Yeah it was a lame argument then and hadn't changed well. But was the beginning of these wannabe A&Rs nitpicking Nas beat selection and creative direction because they wanted him to stay in one lane his whole career. To me, the whole thing where these kids who got into rap music in 2011 saying he can't pick beats and his only classic is Illmatic is born out of that bullshyt. You still got clowns like DJ Vlad pushing the narrative.

The closing tracks on every Nas album are impossible to rank too. Those usually end up being one of the best if not best tracks on the album:

It Ain't Hard To Tell

If I Ruled The World

Undying Love

You Owe Me (this was weird as a closer, but dope)

Every Ghetto

Fetus

Heaven

Me & You

Hope

Black President

Bye Baby (on the standard) / Trust (on iTunes Deluxe)

Simple Things

Beautiful Life

Cure / Spicy

Ehh, they're cool, couple fire jawns in there...but idk. I definitely think his openers far outweigh his closers.
