nas is everywhere:usure:or is it just the coli:yeshrug:i have yet to hear anyone off this site say anything about nas n this cd:yeshrug:

On the contrary, this is the most I've heard/seen Nas talked about OUTSIDE of Hip Hop circles since Gods Son. Everybody at my job pretty much loves the album, females, males, white boys, Hip Hop enthusiasts, etc. hell even my wife loves the album and she's JUST starting to get into stuff outside of Drake/J.Cole/Jay-Z

This is my problem with you Nas stans. So many of you are obviously not too savvy on modern hip hop. A lot of you don't even like modern hip hop yet say shyt like that.

Give me 5 rappers under 25, that's doing it for the love the mic, before the money :youngsabo:

Part of the reason Nas is the GOAT is because he generally stays true to himself as an artist. Has he "sold out"? Sure. I remember when he was wearing shiny red suits with Puffy and that horrid Nastradamus title track. But in the age of the rockstar rapper, he's kept it realer than most.

After he crushed Jay-Z in their battle while going platinum on Stillmatic he was on top of the rap world. He could of just made shallow braggodocious gangsta pop songs and chick songs over Neptunes beats and rode that wave. But he basically walked away from that and turned around and made a dark, personal album God's Son. And ever since then he's just been doing what the fukk he wants. I remember seeing an interview where he said he made Made You Look the lead single purposely as a point to shake offany lingering pop commercial pop image he had.

Here he is at the apex of Stillmatic after beating Jay-Z rejecting a Coors Light commercial.

A lot of people will knock him for not selling as much as he used to or not being a "boss," but he makes music for his core fans and wherever his artistic drive takes him, and that's why we love him.

I don't think many people actually rap with literally no care for money in any era honestly. Even them underground backpack rappers that bytch about the industry still cry about not getting any bread so:shaq2:

The reason behind Nas's longevity and consistancy is his genuine love for hiphop. He was never "rap is just another hustle" type of rapper. He didn't rap to boost his ego or to be famous. He raps because he loves to rap. He loves music in general.
