i do, lolThen listen to something else
i just wish nas would adopt a quality over quantity mindset. most of his new music is great, but he's dropping LPs left and right
just my 2c tho. like krs said records come and go and get collected
i do, lolThen listen to something else
i gotta be honest, im completely oversaturated with nas
I agree with that and I would put Al and Metro ahead of Hit on the current produers list but my whole thing is if you're gonna want him to get with a producer who does different styles hes already with one.
And hes the one who knows Nas as an artist and has time for him vs just sending a beat tape for him to rap over. If theres anything to point to what may have fatigued this album is that Hit's been working on a lot past year including his dad's stuff and that may have contributed to the beats not progressing. Metros super busy working with a lot of people and Al too and they dont have to prove anything like Hit did in 2020.
I just dont know if hes gonna abandon Hit for guys who might be better but may give him the same results unless they can committ to working with him.
Metro isn't a better producer then hit
i gotta be honest, im completely oversaturated with nas
No I definitely can hear that lol that’s obvious. I was under impression y’all didn’t or don’t appreciate the final product. You telling me you have multiple systems, and none of them are good enough for you to hear the difference in low end of the drums between the two videos?
I think what you meant to say is "I don't mind the mix." Which is cool, that's your opinion.
yes he is by miles.Metro isn't a better producer then hit
hit boy does not have his own distinct sound.
I think Nas dropping all of this music the last few years actually humanized him in the eyes of some of these bloggers and writers and ish...I kinda suspected that was gonna happen. Nas is on Mount Olympus in this rap thing, he's in rarefied air...so for him to step down from way up there and mix and mingle and work like the commoners may have took away some of his allure for some people.
Him always getting ranked 3rd on these lists, after giving us a career's worth of music in the last 2 years alone, is the evidence imo. Behind Biggie? Behind Kendrick Lamar? Meanwhile Jigga aint doing a damn thing but counting money and he's always #1, lol. That "mystique" and rarity adds to how they view you man. Law 16, use absence to increase honor and respect.
