He was just having fun on Dr. Knockboots. It's a short, but very entertaining track with some gems slipped in. Love that track.

"Nas is Like" is, IMO, the best post-Illmatic Nas song. Classic material.

"NY State of Mind Pt. 2"
"Hate Me Now"
"Small World"
"Favor For a Favor"
"I Want To Talk To You"
"Money is My B----"
"Undying Love"

are all excellent

"Ghetto Prisoners" has amazing lyrics, but the beat didn't really fit. Check the Pete Rock remix. A very powerful, touching song.

"Dr. Knockboot" is a fun, dope track

"We Will Survive" seemed a bit corny to me with Nas going so over the top to praise dudes who didn't seem to care for him when they were alive. "You were like God to us in the form of Allah" WTF?!! Still a decent song though with some nice messages

"Life is What You Make It" is something I didn't feel much at first, but it really grew on me. Same with "K-I-S-S-I-N-G"

I never really cared for "Big Things". Probably my least favorite on the album, along with "We Will Survive"

"You Won't See Me Tonight" was a nice little song. Not that great, but I never skip it either.

My personal ranking goes....

1 - Illmatic
2 - Stillmatic
3 - Life Is Good
4 - The Lost Tapes
5 - God's Son
6 - Untitled
7 - It Was Written

Those are ALL bunched together though, and the ranking could completely flip and change just depending on the mood I'm in that day.

I actually think Street's Disciple and Hip Hop Is Dead are both very underrated as well as I Am... and had any other artists made these records they'd be undisputed classics, but when you rhyme on the level of Nas perfection is expected each and every time out.

My 6 songs worth a damn:

Nysom 2
Small world
We will survive
Nas is like
Dr knockboot
Undying love

I can't mess with the rest of the album at all.

Money is my bytch is TERRIBLE!

Same with I wanna talk to the MOTHERfukkIN president.

He was treading peter gunz status of corny cussing on that tune.

Hey dopey, I actually went to the legendary NYC clubs. I was doing key bumps with Paris & Nichole at bungalow 8 when you were cramming for finals.

4.5 mics easily. Too many classic Nas tracks. His most accessible album. Great production and very versatile. Highlighted the many components of rapping that Nas flourishes at, whether its street shyt, storytelling, smoke out, conscious, radio shyt, political. Nas did it all on this. Top 5 album.
