I lost my bootleg copy back when my hard drive crashed. :mjcry:

This seems very close to the track listing I remember though

01. Fetus (Belly Button Window)
03. Money Is My bytch
04. Project Window
05. Poppa Was A Player
06. Dr. Knockboots (Do’s And Don’t)
07. Day Dreamin’ Stay Schemin
08. Sometimes I Wonder
09. HardestThingToDoIsStayAlive
10. Drunk By Myself
11. Wanna Play
12. Blaze A 50
13. We Will Survive

Found this online. Track #2 was missing on the website as well. I wonder if that was where Nas is Like was supposed to go :wow:

Edit: track 2 was Small World

yup. This is how i remember it too. Poppa was a player was my song same with Project window too. Still got it around here. What is the cover on the review? I probably have it around here.

Now that i see it again the Bootleg was pretty good. The retail was like a 3 mic to me.

As someone who things Nas it the goat to ever do it...I say its his worst album. It has 2 songs with any real replay value (Nas is like, Small world) the rest of the tracks are ehhh....

I thought the album was superb. If it was trimmed to 11-12 tracks it would have been an all-timer.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
It has a few okay songs. Didn't like it at all when i got it. It was all over and had no direction. Bad executive producing. (Which I wouldn't have said in that way back then.)

He was trying to go more pop at the time which is more accepted now. He went from his first two albums to having Southern sounding songs, a lazy flow, too many guests, r&b spots etc. Scarface and Nas should have brought something it was average. Nas and Aaliyah was average. Sub par beats from Dame Grease

Plus with people like six july and Nashiem Myrick on their you were expecting heat. And after the first two albums hearing all those keyboard sounds and weak drums was awful. Source review didn't mean much at all by that point.

the 13 song bootleg was cool but still not great. That's the one i had first. Hearing Nas sing Kurtis Blow and rap on keyboards was too much. Music Transitioned around then to that sound so it may not be as shocking now.

I remember playing You Wanna Play Rough or whatever it was called a lot. Good song.

Plus he was killing shyt on his freestyles on mixtapes the year or two before. So even Nas was a let down rapping.
Yea right. Lol. An album with NYSOM 2. Nas Is Like and Undying Love is a let down rapping? Let alone all the shyt from the bootleg like Belly Button Window, Rise and Fall, Amongst Kings, Project Window, etc etc. U nikkas is trippin. Lol

I think it has some underrated cuts. Everyone hates Big Things but I think it's a coo track that was always catchy to me. fukk how you feel.

It's way better than Nastradamus tho.

2 songs I want to know more about, from the I am era is Live from the Bridge and Queens nikkas. Both appeared on Clue mixtapes but we’re obviously one of the rumored 45-100 tracks recorded during that era. I’m still trying to find Live from the Bridge No DJ CDQ. Can anyone help a brother out?

The era saw Nas put in so much work. I’ve heard interviews from Nas before God Son dropped where he was talking about having enough unreleased material to drop a lost tapes 2, 3, and 4. That was 14 years ago. The god sitting on a treasure trove and we ain’t even getting scraps. Lol.

I may he in the minority but I am is probably my favorite Nas album. I dont get why people hate this album so much online. Whats funny is when It was written came out people were hating on that album and were saying Nas had sold out with the Mafioso thing and now it's considered a classic by Nas fans and one of his best albums.

IWW and I Am... are 2 different situations. IWW while glossy in spots had Nas rapping his ass off, even on the Nas is Coming... While Nas slothed and stumbled on I Am tracks like Money and Kissing...
