I'm a Fabolous stan and my nikka just started making projects with consistently good beat selection.

The whole Rocafella? I fukk with Beans put which album of his has better production top to bottom than It Was Written from beats to mixing and mastering?

I don't think his production/beat choices are as bad as some people say but I also do not think its top 3. All the rappers who have been in the game as long as Jay-z, Snoop, and Nas all have made some questionable beat choices. It happens after making thousands and thousands of songs. Not to mention these guys don't always pick all their own beats themselves and all that.

Do guys like Dr Dre count in this? Over his career the songs he actually rapped on have all been pretty good beats. He rarely gets on tracks he didn't produce so there is some more consistency, more smoother transitions to different sounds. When I think MCs with the best production in their catalog I think of someone like Guru.

I know what girls like, ain't no nikka, ghetto techno, Hollywood, and reminder are god awful.

Put this side by side against Nas worst and Nas will win

OP you lost me when you didn't recognize the absolute glory that is Rick Ross' beat selection. FOH. Every one of his beats sounds like some fukkin scripture waiting to be unraveled. Dude could go on tour with a whole orchestra. MATTER OF FACT THAT WOULD BE HARD AFFFFF

He doesn't have as many classics as Nas or Jay or as many songs but he is definitely the most consistent rapper ever in terms of beat selection. Jay and Nas both rapped over some shytTY ASS BEATS

He's got some inconsistencies and over time its mostly been people wishing he flowed on whatever beats the top rapper was flowing on...but I also cant say he has a total tin ear for beats like some people like to run with when his catalog has classic beats and Im not just saying Illmatic

I think Nas has rapped over some of the best beats ever and has some of the best produced albums (Illmatic, It Was Written, Lost Tapes)...

Nastradamus is the only Nas album that has god awful production mostly from start to finish...

I don't know why people act like Jay's beats are so much better. All three volume albums had a handful of poor beats and shyt that sounds dated and awful today for example. The man rhymed over Ghetto Techno.
