Could be because Orochimaru was controlling him and making him fight, whereas Kabuto has just been letting Madara do what he wanted the entire time. And by the time Edo Tensei was released Kabuto was stuck in a genjutsu anyway.

Maybe but I think it's more to do with the 2nd Hokage knowing this is a foul jutsu and accepting the fact that he should be dead and moving on ala Itachi...itachi knew the release for the edo tensei obviously and could of done the same...but didn't
