Felix and Rafa on the phone for the last time, reminiscing and talking about "dreams" and "us", just like Stringer and Avon

A few years ago, I went to a lecture given by a retired DEA agent out of El Paso. Dude had some wild ass stories about 80's/90's Mexico, and how after KiKi, the DEA did not give a fukk anymore and started fukkin shyt up, just like the very end of the season with the agents crossing into Mexico heavy. He told one story that was very similar to when they tried to catch Felix on U.S. soil. This cartel guy they were chasing, couldn't do shyt to him in Mexico. So he said that they kidnapped him, stuffed his ass in some kind of duffel bag. Brought his ass across the border, let him go, then arrested his ass for illegally crossing into the U.S.

He also talked about a time when one of the cartels killed a cop, and laid his body on a sidewalk. When all the cops responded to the scene, it was a trap and multiple cars parked right by where the cop's body was were rigged with car bombs and wiped out a bunch of them

Breaking Bad writers probably got that idea from that story...

just started watching this show..I'm on s1ep8...pretty dope show

but casting was done horribly in my opinion

wassup with the main characters and el-chapo's character all having innocent baby faces lol

Miguel, Kiki and El Chapo all have innocent looking faces, it takes away from the series for me

Its kind of hard for me to look at them as formidable people when they all look so innocent

especially with Miguel, dude looks so non-threatening...dude looks like a volunteer at a foodbank or some shyt

Idk i like thecasting. It must be close cuz i can tell whos who just off the actors faces in el chapo and narcos shows. Most lookbtye same. Especially the tijuana crew.


Neto is like the ishmael of el chapo. Just a dope, wise older character

That car bomb story was in Juarez in 2010, by El Diego's people, of La Linea, to heat the plaza and call attention to Sinaloa's crew, Los AA's, and Gente Nueva.

And if anyone's interested, this is Caro in 2016, giving an interview, where he says he is not doing financially well, and he lives where anyone will let him stay for the night

Didn't know til today the creator of this show got a show about Bumpy Johnson coming out this year "The Godfather of Harlem" With Forrest Whitaker playing Bumpy.

I hope it is on the level of these Narcos series.

So I read most of this thread

I see Michael Pena getting alot of criticism here but honestly I can't think of any other Mexican American actor with name recognition at the moment.

If they had put a Mexican actor or an American Latino actor who was not of Mexican descent in the show for Kiki, they would get alot heat for doing that.

I thought he did a good job.

Just started this season. Amazing. Why the fukk does felix never have security though? This fukk has gotten kidnapped twice in the first 6 episodes, pablo could've fed him to the hungry hungry hippos
