I dont support illegal immigration. But at the same time i also understand WHY it happens so i have to give illegal immigrant some leeway. Most illegal immigration happens due to the imperialist world powers' policies that suffocate smaller nations and their ability to self-govern and prosper.

United States, France, Germany, Canada etc have all contributed tothat system. I'm not saying people wouldnt migrate as all if that wasnt the case. But not in mass like that. For the most part people dont dream dream of leaving their home to start over and learn a new language and adapt to a new norm. Unless home is so bad then you decide to bail

This would be a sympathetic argument if Latinos themselves weren't very themselves and part of the reason my heart has hardened on the issue a bit.

Replacing all the whites with Latinos from Mexico and South America in the US won't make it better for black folks. Plus, like it or not, due to our history we can hold whites somewhat accountable for their actions through our constant struggle of fighting for equality in this country and back and forth with them. There is no such history with Latinos and its even worse when they can now claim "POC" to silence any outright singling out of their racist behavior such as them killing folks in places like California.

The numbers speak for themselves. The amount of people coming in are primarily Latin identified, and the media and organizations focused on assisting illegal immigrants use Latinos as the face of the problem. Moreover latin identified citizens have minimal energy for issues of systemic racism that affect black people primarily but also can affect them. Like white feminists, asians, and other 'POC' they dont want justice, they want a bigger piece of the pie. There is no America as we know it if there isnt an underclass and for hundreds of years that has been us. Most POC have an intrinsic understanding of this.

I know illegal Haitians, africans and other black identified people will suffer from the clampdown in illegal immigration, but ultimately immigration needs to be more closely monitored.

I agree. There shouldn't be an underclass, but these POC are hoping for the same kind of come up that the Irish, Italians, Polish got when they came to the US. Theres a reason why some of the most aggressive racists you'll meet come from those backgrounds. They know what it is to be considered on the same level as black people and so they went extra hard in the paint to prove they werent.
