I understand that we need to fix the system, will it ever be or can it be fixed is a completely different issue. As of right now if my black ass gets pulled over I'm not taking any chances. Can they still shoot me? Of course, but why wouldn't I want to minimize that? These cops have authority complexes that need to be addressed but at this moment I'd rather be safe than sorry. That field just attracts all the wrong people. Also Canada doesn't have these issues and they are basically mimic of our culture.

It can if coppers know they can potentially lose their job , freedom or life on a bad or wrongful stop .

Stop asking white people for life advice. They believe their perspective and experiences are default.

Plenty of black people have been shot by police while not engaging in a crime or being combative.

They also don’t take into account the amount of cops who are blatantly disrespectful to us, and escalate situations, or the fact that we are racially profiled, and have to deal with the police more often than they do. Add to that, Bill DeBlasio, white man with clearly black son said he had to tell his son how to deal with police, and white people got mad and said he was being racist and demonizing them. So are we supposed to tell our kids how to handle police of not?

This is why it makes no sense to let white people tell us how to function. They are clearly sociopaths.

It wasn't an advice question to me it was more like let's see what you think the solution for this is. I only saw the clip in op and I will say this he said he wants to hold police accountable atleast.. Warren had the better response for the jump but will she devote time to that if shes elected is the question

The left has been hijacked by emotional appeals by bleeding hearts to support a pro-business position. He perfectly articulates the issue and why its a problem, from a left perspective, perfectly in OP's clip and this one. If this message could be tailored and pushed more in the mainstream debate today, on the left, we would be better off instead of anyone thinking anything short of supporting open borders is a xenophobic fascist.

Wages are decreasing and the gap is getting wider between haves and havenots yet...we need more foreign worker visas for people who work at lower wages. Makes no damn sense.

This would be a sympathetic argument if Latinos themselves weren't very themselves and part of the reason my heart has hardened on the issue a bit.

Replacing all the whites with Latinos from Mexico and South America in the US won't make it better for black folks. Plus, like it or not, due to our history we can hold whites somewhat accountable for their actions through our constant struggle of fighting for equality in this country and back and forth with them. There is no such history with Latinos and its even worse when they can now claim "POC" to silence any outright singling out of their racist behavior such as them killing folks in places like California.
