this dont make sense at all. Vol 3 was gonna be success regardles. thats what lead singles do. Big pimpin was the 2nd single. Things u do never happened because Mariah didn’t have time to do the video. Anything was supposed to be on the OG vol 3. So it was gave to beans well after vol 3 came out. So idk why that song was mentioned

Anything was a bonus track on Vol 3

The Mariah single bricked :mjlol:

Big Pimpin saved the album...but it wasn't a good album

It didn't do half the #s of Vol 2 even tho promotion for the album was crazy during holiday season

These are the facts :manny:

anything was not on vol 3 in America. It was officially released as a bonus on Beans debut

vol 3 sold 3 million in real time vs vol 2 5 million. So that’s more than half

Nikka, I'm from Philly...I'm a foundational Blk American :what:

Anything was a bonus track on Vol 3 & it flopped

Vol 3 sold 2 mil in real time, Vol 2 did 5 mil, Dynasty did 3, and BP did 3

I gave the whole rundown of why Jay repurposed Dynasty from a crew project to solo album...bc Vol 3 was a failure by his standards...he was too busy chasing hits on Vol 3

Back to my OG point, Big Pimpin saved the album. It was released around spring break as the 3rd single (shortly after the brick with Mariah)...Big Pimpin had legs from Feb to June...no more Vol 3 singles 6 months after the album release even tho it had 3 commercial singles & another quasi single

It was a FAILURE by Jigga's standards :sas2:

How does an album need ”saving” that did more the first week than the previous album with singles that werent nearly as big :mjlol:

Vol 2 had Can I Get A, Hard Knock Life, Money Cash Hoes, Nikka What Nikka Who, It's Alright & Money Ain't A Thang as singles...please stop

Not to mention Vol 2 spent FIVE weeks at #1

So because it wasn’t a successful as Volume 2 that means it needed “saving”? :heh:

99% of rappers in history don’t have an album as successful as V2 :mjlol:

The album was a smash before Big Pimpin came out

So it spent one wk at #1 and the next album rollout started 6 months later...ok pal :unimpressed:

My boy

“Anything” is a Jay-Z single found on Beanie Sigel’s 2000 album The Truth. It was also was included as a bonus track on the European version of Jay-Z’s Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter. Similar to the use of the Annie sample in “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)”, Anything samples “I’d Do Anything” from the British musical Oliver!.

I only looked this up for you...I bought both albums in real time :dead:
