THE WAR REPORT
first off from jump everyone knows the demo with fat joe.
so kill that,..
next la is a female emcee and when were they not allowed to cheat.
next when did kid rock not make music that was true to kid rock.
the problem is the clipse made a wack album, period.
nobody wangs that offbrand unconvincing album.
which is so offbrand it departs away from what they were marketing themselves as on wgi4c.
the album was shelved for a reason. it was not blackb*stard kmd shelved. it was shelved cause it was huff.
you give them a glorious pass i do not.
also,...the production is offbrand departure away.
from what their sound and genre is like electric circus.
that is why, i called it that.
they also do not rap as well as common did on ec either.
which is the other issue. as wgi4c is light years better lyrically than this album.
this album was worse than jr writer's major label record. as it departed away from the wb mixtape series.
unlike jr,..these dudes are not cold emcees like that, lyrically.
plus they never got back to what was lordwilling to wgi4c afterwards, either.

Kid Rock - When HipHop didn't work out, he switched to rock. When rock didn't work, he switched to country. He's a tourist in all three genres. Period.
non sequential order said:Queen Latifah - Started out pro-black, pro-female empowerment HipHop. Ended up a
spokes-token for CoverGirl, a company that perpetuates the white standard of female beauty. I won't even get into her wack attempt at being a pop singer.
non sequential said:Fat Joe - Has a list of brainless crossover songs as long as my arm. But you give him a pass for his past work/affiliations.
non sequential said:Idk why you keep bringing up Electric Circus as if HHNF is some genre bending experiment of an album. It isn't. But, at the same time...it doesn't sound like the typical dopeboy record. Well, guess what? Neither does Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. That's these albums' appeal.
You have a very rigid idea of what HipHop is and at the same time cherrypick to whom you apply these ideas.
And you have a personal bias against the Clipse. It's cool, I hate TI for no reason so I recognized the signs.
dawg,..dummy!!!
he is white, fukk you mean!!!!?!?!
have you ever listened to a kidrock rap album,..he always had a guitar and madr country rap rock tunes...on the rap classic he has..he even says it,..what are you stoopid!! white people listen to rock, rap and country. you just complained about his orchard beginnings. you ever been to a mi apple orchard, motherfukker....you must not have,..now stfu!!
nikka la is a plus sized black girl who knocked down doors. what the fukk are you talembout??
blacks created makeup and straightened hair and weave...way before white people.
were even spread across the world to create caste systems to make the word white.
again,..when were female emcees original or did not cheat in the newschol way of thought.
you can't even tell me the name of the first real female emcee?
off the top of your head or the group,..so stfu..
nikka i would have rather heard a fat loud offkey former hustler/graf artist, who knows the culture and endorsed by diamond d. than arsenio hall as chunky a,..which is what fatjoe is the answer, too.
learn your history,....that is how fatjoe got on...as a thumb ij your face to chunky a. he has had a pass for 20 years because of this.
you want chunky a to come back...
dawg,...did you say hhnf appeals like obfcl,...
right there you are offbrand as hell, joe....
just stfu,..the albums is wack as fuxk and so are you to even mention obfcl.
like hhnf is on that level,....
DEERAY : nikka, chu stoopid!?!!?!?!!!

Critics loved it but was mostly overlooked by the public.
Two things:
1). The record went Gold. In 2008. Spawned a cultural smash hit (You know the one) and outsold Arular 3 times over.
2). How does sales in any way, shape or form have anything whatsoever to do with an album being a classic or not. Selling just means it was popular, and a lot of popular music is shyt (not all, just most). A classic is something that was aesthetically excellent, revered and influential on its genre of music (or multiple genres of music, for that matter). It has zero to do with sales.
Strangely enough I though Black Girl lost was a good fit, I thought Street Dreams and If I ruled the World and the Firm track threw the album off for me. Yes, even with those problems a car can be great if the total package is greater than its individual parts, say for instance the car in question is an Acura NSX, then even with it's flaws (it's still a great car, if you can take the time to fix it) it will certainly be worth much more than the money you put into fixing it, feel me. It Was Written is not a perfect album and it was slammed when it dropped, it has it's flaws, but it's still a great album.
When did I say anything about sales???
I just think the album is a classic...
Critics loved it but was mostly overlooked by the public.
Here:
The "public" usually means sales; what else would you mean? Most people think that this is easily her best album.
And don't get me wrong, if I were to write an album of the 2000s article (NOT happening), this would be up there. Like top 5 or 10 up there. It's THAT good. So I know where you're coming from, I just don't think it was overlooked enough (or at all) to be mentioned here.
