Yep. That album was so bad I gave it away after being fooled into buying it. Hollanholla is the only cut I liked and the other one with the crazy strumming.

Thanks art barr, umm...wow I always thought the quotes in your sig were from dikkriders but thanks for that knowledge. I see what you are saying, there's definitely an element of displacement by people who are marketed these "alternatives" to "mainstream" hip-hop. I don't agree with you simply on the basis of the music, but I can't deny your logic. There needs to be a thread on the false indie marketing machine a la bon iver.
I'm interested when you talk about atmosphere because I get into intense arguments over slug with my girlfriend (brooklyn jew, his target market) and we never fight about anything. Are you saying he built a real fan base with freestyling, scribble jam, "eminem" route if you will? Then businessmen like El-P took this formula and falsified it to market to the "don't like rap but i like..." crowd? I assume you're a fan of atmosphere and slug or in the least respect them/him.
How do you feel about eyedea? I think his album with abilities is highly underrated, I should have mentioned that but that's not really the coli's flavor.
Back to the clipse though, who is this pr firm? What you're saying about the failed payola makes sense with the success of grinding and then failing of equally catchy songs. Then Mr. Me Too.

p.s. there is still an underground in my opinion, it exists in kids basements and computers but is bought up as soon as it hits 5,000 hits on youtube
