Both albums use the 808 much more than other albums of their time. Both also have a mix of live instrumentation, samples and electronic stuff which is relevant today.


The only NY album that could pass is LAD. The rest sound like '90's NY nikka shyt'.

Honestly, I can't think of any because the sound of today and the here and now is completely different from what it was in the 90's. Things have just changed but that's always been the case.
