You have to be completely ignorant of Obama's agenda if you think he hasn't been working on behalf of us. But he is just the president, finding his office constrained by to limits put in place by the constitution. Additionally, to those arguing we can't integrate with whites, that is bullshyt that time is slowly but decidedly disproving. Whites have no choice. They are losing power and their population is growing at an alarmingly slower rate than black America. They simply are without a choice in the matter, outside of the tantrums they've thrown since Obama assumed office four years ago. Nothing comes without a price, and change is never immediate, but Obama is bringing it. Right now, millions of poor black Americans can get healthcare that was financially out of their reach before socalled obamacare was instituted. And the full benefits of obamacare haven't yet materialized, and won't until 2014. A lot of you nikkas are being too emotional without appraising yourself of the facts underlying his presidency. Have patience and support the man. Or keep bytching and whistling past the graveyard.

If those with the harshest criticisms were out here in the streets doing their part to inform the public that they need to show up for local elections and not just one day every 4 years then i would be with them. Maybe if we had more people in office who held our same beliefs when it came time to vote on procuring funds for inner city programs specifically then the bills would pass.

Cornel West dont do shyt but sit his ass up in his Ivy League office and talk shyt. Why doesnt he teach at a black school and use his platform to bring more prestige to our universities and convince young African Americans to make sure we take care of our own business before anyone elses?

again, millions of blacks now have access to health care services that they previously could not afford before ACA was instituted. that's a fact. to say that obama has not done anything for black americans is patently untrue. it takes time. a jobs act that never left the house would have put many in the black community to work. republicans refused to vote on it. this is a war. we are battling. but we are not going to win this struggle overnight, and benjamin jealous does his organization a disservice by placing black unemployment on the shoulders of obama.
