I refuse to mess with Apple but have heard of people losing their music because of failed hard drives. I have 2 separate backup drives in case one of the backup fails to make sure my shyt never goes away.

I'm no computer whiz though..is that really common?

I've heard it happen to others more then once, thats why im not taking any chances this go around, i still had shyt from the kazaa/limewire days that i have never found again.

i didnt read the thread but if your itunes got cleared the songs should still be backed up on your hard drive


u just gotta add them to itunes 1 by 1

i lost over 750gb of music, all scene rips (rns, ego, whoa, ect..) about 10 years back, tons of rare cd singles, vinyls, you name it, i was deflated

its the same laptop but it had to be repaired and restored. so when i reinstalled itunes all my music was gone
