What do you like the most about Ferris Bueller's Day Off? And do you think it's John Hughes magnus opus?
I really discovered that movie as a senior or junior in HS, and I really related to Cameron. He kind of felt like he was on his own in life, though he had a pretty good life situation. More than anything though; he had no fukkin idea what he wanted to do in life, and he was about to go to college. His best friend had it all figured out, and he didn't know anything going on in life and couldn't handle shyt. Meanwhile, Ferris has all the right moves, says all the right things, and takes risks. He's one of the most fun characters ever in movies. True legendary character.

Basically, I felt like Cameron, and wanted to be Ferris.

It is definitely Hughes' best movie, with only home alone and breakfast club coming close. It is the perfect runtime, and is incredibly rewatchable and easy to watch at any point when you catch it on tv. I watch it every year on my birthday and even go to a museum, annually, on my birthday.

EDIT: to the question though, what I like best is The museum scene going to Danke Shene / Twist and shout parade scene. Cameron literally says he doesn't like ANYTHING and he's about to go to college, and laughs about it. While his best friend just hops on a parade float and rocks downdown chicago lmao. 10/10.

That's so cute! Repped:mjcry:

And you're right. The scene where Cameron says he likes nothing is one of the best scenes/lines in cinematic history. It might be my fave scene after the final kiss scene.

90 movies long and no Unforgiven! I know it win best picture but I feel like it’s oftentimes overlooked
There arent a lot of modern westerns i like tbh....its not my main genre though my darling clemetine is a much older wyatt erp film. Once upon a time in the west is my favorite of the genre.

unforgiven might deserve another watch tho

oddly never saw it. I remember it, and just rewatched the trailer...it made my Chromecast list. I'll share my thoughts after I watch this weekend if I have time.
It’s amazing. I randomly caught it on the Sundance channel when I was like 16 and was mesmerized by it. Don’t think I even got up from the couch once.

Yup, when I think of my top 50 movies of the last 2 decades, this movie is up there. I'm pretty sure I've stated my top movies a million times in here but another favorite of mine is "Good Will Hunting".

Matterfact, gotta throw in "Chasing Amy" and "Clerks".

Another classic romance movie based in France with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy is the "Before Sunset trilogy".

Another underrated classic because we always see this comedian heavy on comedy but more surreal in his role is "Top Five". Something organic about Chris Rock in that role. I love the way the comedy is laid out naturally and gives me NY nostalgia.
