The crazy thing is all you have to do is go to google and type in the name of these scams and google will automatically bring up scams

U gotta be real basic to fall for this stuff

People wanna be rich without having to work for it

that's who they take advantage of: stupid and lazy people.

I know someone who recently started with the whole Wakeupnow BS. Trying to convince her that the time she will spend working on that shyt won't even amount to what you can make with a minimum wage job in the long run.

But that dream they are selling to people is strong. I'll convince her to drop it by the summer though.

Before she drops it, Let her kno I want more info on how to change my life then PM me her number :shaq:

I've lost friends because of pyramid schemes so now I just respond with, "I'm going to have to respectfully say no. All I ask in return is that you never mention this opportunity to me again."

I say that shyt with the most stern look on my face. I had a platinum thread on sohh about pyramid schemes. I don't play that shyt anymore

this exploits the weakness of man

there is a scam uncovered damm near daily on the news
and people still want to believe that shyt like this can make them wealthy
hell every week a new movie comes out about people trying to pull scams and get over but get caught

why would any intelligent person believe this dumb shyt is possible

intelligence and logic can be suspended if the pitch is effective enough. there's a reason companies spend billions of dollars in advertising annually.

don't you want to be in 5 star hotels and have sho-furs

ivy league != smart

While this is true. I wouldn't necessarily call them stupid either. They can be just as gullible and naive as anyone else. The psychology behind these mlm's is kind of ingenious and sickening at the same time. The reason why it's so easy to get caught up is b/c sometimes you just goto a meeting in favor for a friend. they hit with the "hey I have this business meeting you should attend". The ivy grad I know who was in it tried to pull me in (Primerica) but by now at this point I was 2-3 years removed from doing cutco/vector and I already knew what was up. I just went to the meeting as a favor and they were driving (she lived up the street from me). The meetings are just a big charade, they call people's names out to give them checks (some ppl get called up more than once) and all sorts of other fukkery. A bunch of call and response, chanting, and feigned enthusiasm. I really think there is some form of hypnosis behind the entire thing. :snoop:

Also she wasn't the only person at her school (Upenn btw) who was involved she was trying to get her roommate involved as well, but her roommate was already in it.

this is dude story summed up:

dude was in his mid 20's
married
young son
wife didnt know how to drive nor have a job

dude was a Sgt
got involved in this dumb ass program(forgot which) - that sold products online(shyt like paper towels, toilet paper) at prices higher than walmart
invested thousands

tried to get me involved without even asking
had people calling me to schedule to come talk to me without even asking me if i wanted to

i dont know what happed but he defaulted on a loan

they took his security clearance
he was not able to continue working in our area without a clearance
the army was going to make him change MOS(jobs) to some stupid shyt because of it

dude pretended to have PTSD
said that he was going to kill all of us at work
and commit suicide

the sent him to a Navy hospital for mental evaluation
had the military police come to the tech control put him in handcuffs
they do some retina movement test to prove you are crazy
test proved he was faking

he got kicked out the army with a dishonorable discharge(basically fukks you from getting any type off good civilan job)
