So about a month back I get a follow request on Instagram from a random local female. I thinking ok maybe she knows me from somewhere or saw my username and decided to follow. I follow back and see that she's into forex trading. Now I've had an interest in that and have done some research but haven't dived too deep or invested any money. So I hit her up and ask her about it. She says to hit her up on messenger since it'll be easier. I hit her up and she sends me a link to watch two videos. This was back on the 19th. That's how much I've been procrastinating and holding back on this forex thing. Today I decide to check out the videos and it's for something called IML. I skimmed thru it and saw some packages for sale for like $200. I'm sitting here like, this bytch just tried recruiting me to a damn pyramid scheme. :damn:

I promptly deleted the conversation. :francis:

there's a new ponzi scheme that I just heard about today

it's called eSUSU "lending and savings"...it's Nigerian (several other African countries have them as well under different names).

Basically, a bunch of people pool their money, and week a different participant takes from the pool...classic ponzi scheme. Just watch out cause Nigerian folks are hustling people out here.

word this is a pretty common thing in a lot of communities. My girl is dominican and her mom and aunts run these things all the time with friends, family and other people in the neighborhood. my girl's mom does it legit and is a pretty stand up individual in the neighborhood. i think these things are very common...i've heard of it being called a "susu". ive seen small ones and ive seen big ones where people are saving to make huge lifechanging purchases like a downpayment for a crib or a car in cash.

What exactly happened?

well, my friend (former co-worker) and her husband have been doing it for about 4 years now with no major financial progress. She has had to get another side job again to get extra income. They even recruited their own 18 year old daughter into doing this instead of getting her focused on school. She also probably got brainwashed at one of the conventions.

I know im hella late but just wanted to add my mom and aunt were eating off shaperite for a while. I think my moms biggest monthly check was 24k and my aunt along with her husband were doing about 50k a month. This was 10 or so years ago. shyt dried up and neither of them are into shaperite. They both swear by asea water but i dont think they hustling it too hard

Haitians call it susu too. Yes, that's not a ponzi. Everybody that contributes supposed to get paid eventually. It relies heavily on the honor system.

right i dont think anyone would get into it with someone who isnt vouched for heavily. and if the person running it does any funny shyt their rep is ruined for life, ostrasized from the community and all that...if not worse

Not really a pyramid scheme but anyone dealt with those Indian fake irs callers? I never seem to answer when they call but I'm liable to fukk with them when I do. Ima act like they calling from ins and not irs.

Scammer: hello sir, I'm calling from the irs.

Me: ins? What you mean? I was born here.

Scammer: no sir the irs.

Me: but I don't understand. Could I be one of those bad hombres that Trump was talking about? :lupe:

Had some guy call me last week about my "computer" :mjpls:
