Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Carmelo Anthony has a no-trade clause in his contract, which limits the New York Knicks' options.

Anthony re-signed with the Knicks on a five-year, $124 million deal in 2014 with a full no-trade clause. While Anthony has a no-trade clause and has said he'd like to remain with the New York Knicks, he could approve a trade to either the Cleveland Cavaliers or Los Angeles Clippers.

"It’s understood that he’d only accept being dealt to the Cavaliers or the Clippers," wrote Charley Rosen, who is perhaps the media member with the closest relationship with Phil Jackson.

Anthony has an early termination option after the 17-18 season.

Anthony has a PER of 19.4 this season, down from his career highs of 24.8 in 12-13 and 24.2 in 13-14.

Trading Melo for a pick would most likely be best for the franchise long term, but still the thought of it makes me kind of sad:(

Realistically, after you boil it down to the few teams Melo would accept a trade too, what could the Knicks get back in a Melo trade?

Edit:^^^^ Melo might really be gone soon. Rosen has sort of been a mouthpiece for Phil so far, so I have to assume that Phil really is over the Melo era.

When they hired Hornacek I happy that it wasn't a Phil lackey but it's clear that he hired him because he knew he would be willing to be a puppet. The team doesn't respect him. Team is a disaster

What assets to the Clippers have? Blake? They have no young players and they're on a high level version of the treadmill themselves.
I checked and their 2021 pick is the next one they can trade. I'll take it, it'd be about the time the Clippers really fall back to earth anyway

I don't think the clippers have a player we would be willing to trade for. There draft pick definitely won't be high enough for us to make that trade. Of course there is always a chance a stud player could fall that deep but chances are slim.

Same exact trade scenario with the cavs as well.

The one team who I realistically think that could use melo and possibly make a run at the championship would be the rockets. If somehow melo can take a backseat to harden that could make them compete with warriors and take them deep in a series, there already only a game behind the spurs and with melo, they definitely overtake them. But is houston willing to trade for melo, is melo willing to accept a trade to houston. A draft pick wouldn't be enough due us probably getting a pick in the 28-32 range, so what player are we taking?

He definitely would help boston as well, but I don't think they can beat the cavs with melo anyway. But Boston would be our ideal trade destination as they have good young players and have nets first pick, but would boston give us that nets pick for melo and would melo go to boston. A top 3 pick is almost guaranteed with this trade and a tank in progress means probably a top 10 pick, ton of cap space would be available with melo and especially rose coming off the books. You put 2 young rookies with our franchise player in KP, get some solid veteran free agents. Maybe if KP is ready to play the 5 (I don't think he is) then maybe we can sign a blake griffin to fill out the 4

Jahlil Okafor
Iman Shumpert (sorry guys)
Channing Frye
2017 1st round pick (Lakers Lottery pick) Via 76ers

Kings
Derrick Rose
Holiday

Knicks
Rudy Gay
Darrell Collinson

Okafor/O'Quinn/Hernangomez
Porzingis/Frye
Gay/Thomas/Kuz

Some team by the deadline will probably inquire on O'Quinn and Lee. I'm only accepting 1st round picks with O'Quinn.

Not much, yall past the point of getting good packages for him, probably could have gotten Love last year but not now.

:philjacksonlol: I don't want Love. I just want to get rid of that fakkit for expiring contract/s and draft pick/s.

:philjacksonlol::philjacksonlol: Some of y'all are too sensitive when it comes to that fakkit Carmelo....

the fact that rose has to say this is comical
the fact that they need hornacek to be on them about defense is comical
the fact that hornacek isnt on them about defense is comical
professionalism is lost on this team

From day one I disliked the hire. He is not a defensive mind those Phoenix teams were awful defensively. I don't give a fukk with this personnel we should not be this bad on that end.

The Markieff Morris thing was alarming to me too. He just strikes me as a dude whose too damn nice.

:bryan:

Also putting incompetent ass Kurt Rambis as defensive coach is god damn joke. fukk Phil for that dead ass.

At this point I don't think we'd trade with yall.. because if we're going to trade any 3 of gordon, ariza, anderson, capella.. it can't be for an aging volume jump shooter who doesn't really play defense, needs to hold the ball/ iso /shoot long 2s on offense... and probably hates our coach as much as our coach hates him lol
