Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Cant wait until melo leaves and knick "fans" turn all their negativity to an undeveloped porzingis and run him outta town lmao

Who is shielding Towns, Davis, Embiid and Giannis from negativity and criticism?

If Porzingis is to develop he needs criticism, and he needs to fail on his own without some washed star getting upset when he misses shots and hijacking the offense from that point on.

The Philly market is probably a lot less forgiving, but I'll agree with you about that. I think the game is more national than just local markets though, and from the outside looking in, it seems the national viewpoint is that Melo is pretty much finished as a top tier talent but the fans in NY hold onto him as though he's Bron.

If Porzingis were a bust, he'd be hearing it from everywhere. Young players don't need to be shielded, because people generally understand it takes time, so needing someone like Melo to "protect" him is irrelevant.

I actually think the fans and the media alike would give him a chance to succeed since that would be new territory for the team. Maybe the patience wont be as long as other markets but i think NY would have give him a chance. Unless KP shows absolutely zero progression

Porzinigs at this point is basically bulletproof.

Rightfully so, he's way ahead of where he was expected to be, he needs to work on his body and game, but he was supposed to be a long term project that wouldn't be showing these kind of results for 3-4 years.

I agree. And I do agree with your point that a little criticism would be good for him. Melo still hovering around is just needlessly delaying everything

He needs the criticism, it's what will make him better in the long run, that spotlight & pressure needs to be on him so you know whether or not he's a superstar.

The excuses Melo fans use as to why the Knicks can't rebuild is fukkin hillarious

These dudes treat him like he's one 5 titles for them

He's won ONE PLAYOFF SERIES :mjlol:

Players obviously care when a home arena praises and oooos and aaaas for opposing players, I've seen examples of this.

It would naturally follow that many players may feel sometype of way about getting booed?

Would you say that's a reasonable assumption?:ld:

It was pretty revealing that Porzingis was ranked ahead of Melo with both the players and the media in all star voting. The media placed him 12th and I doubt any of them have beef with Melo.
