The teams best positioned to take over the East are the Celtics, Bucks and Sixers. It's funny you say the Sixers have no shooting, yet they currently make more threes per game than the Knicks The Sixers aren't that far away, if Embiid is healthy they are going to be poised to be a power in the East when the Cavs run ends, same with the Bucks.


The Knicks need to get a player to pair with Kristaps now, not when Melo's contract is up.

And I think, in the end, this is all MOST of us are trying to say. You don't wait to prepare for the future, you have to be constantly future proofing. That's how the spurs have been good for 20 years. I remember when Miami was gonna run the league for a decade, windows close, and windows open, for a variety of reasons. You wanna be prepared.
