I can agree...a lot of the time he just settles...but the coaches need to start drawing up plays that give KP no option but to abuse his height...more alleys...more plays that can utilize one of noahs skills (interior passing).
kp and noah are skilled big men...there are little reasons as to why they dont pass to each other around the rim....most teams simply dont have the length to defend that.
kp also needs a few more traditional big man moves
he needs just a basic drop step he can utilize....the tie in with a drop step and his ability to shoot will keep defenders honest.
as he gets stronger...he'll get a better back to the basket game...but even at his slender frame...a drop step would get him FTAs
but he's a second year player...the coaching staff should design plays that will fit his skill and abilities....and not let a second year player fall into his own habits.
did you see brandon jennings in crunch time yesterday? he kept looking over to rose and the bench on every offensive possession with his arms up like "yooo what's the play"? rose and melo just did their own thing...and that happens often, which causes -

Just looked at that last sequence again :martin:

Rose coulda made his jump pass to a wide open Melo instead of Jennings. Instead of swinging it to an open KP who'd been sitting, Jennings shoulda swung to Melo who was hot and still open.

I see your tank logic, but I can't watch these clowns and not root for them to win. It's Knicks brass job to keep an eye on the future. I don't get a check if the Knicks make the playoffs or become a contender. They're a form of entertainment for me. Even a 1st round exit would entertain me. As long as they played hard, I'd be entertained. If the Knicks finished strong and made the 8th seed this year? :salute: :alonzoknick:

If not? :yeshrug::francis:

Team is under utilizing Noah. What's the point of having him on this team if he you're not going to utilize his passing? KP is also a good passer. Melo and Rose are fukking black holes. You take those two out and the team plays much more fluidly.

they're not blackholes...they just lack high level playmaking skills.
they only see one option when its time to pass....and if that option isnt there...they make bad decisions. they dont have the awareness to hit the 2nd or 3rd option in a play consistently.....
kinda like a quarterback making reads.
lebron can attack the rim, hit his roller...whether he is rolling to the rim or 3pt line(hit them in the shooting pocket as well)...or he'll hit the man...who's assignment left to help to defend the PNR
no one on this roster can do that.

ANswered your own question...Im sure Hornacek would like to run the offense through Noah.
