quick side note do ya'll think there is a market for Noah? even if it was attached to another player?

No picks..... even in mock trades:stopitslime:

I think we gotta pray for an amnesty clause in the CBA that gets signed this season...the most recent reports I've seen said it won't include an amnesty this time though :mjcry:

At no point did I bring up his contract. It's what it is... It's not gonna change. My concern is whether he's bringing more positive than negative to the team

I don't think he is. Considering the role he has to play on this team, I think it is impossible to consider him net positive.

But i'll still root for him, because I know how bad he wants to win.

What drastic "win now" moves did we make????

Literally the entire off season.

I'm a Knick fan too. Born and bred in washington heights.

I love you breh.

:wow:Y'all focusing on Noah. Is no one else seeing what I'm seeing?

Listen, I don't think we really have to talk about tanking right now. Honestly, we're not even a .500 team at the moment. The problem is, of course, that the explosive guards we're going to want, will be gone by 15th pick or so. However, the front court could use help too, and there are a number of bigs. Jarrett Allen, is an athletic big, who runs the floor, tries to dunk everything, and could end up being a very good defender. Bolden, who's at Duke is another who could be there in the mid round, has great size and tools, could be a plus defender, if not a stalwart, but can finish and pass and move his feet well, too. Some people like Thomas Bryant, but I'm not sure... he always looks a little like one of those guys at pickup who WANTS to play the most, but just is not quite a good basketball player. And I wonder how much effort/length is getting him over at the college level, which won't necessarily translate in the pros.

You could also go with a guy in the Harry Giles mold, and just make him KP's front court mate, and instead of looking for more defense, get more offense.

The crazy thing is that Melo will be off the books and Noah will be an expiring come 2019. The 2019 FA class is stacked, Klay; Kawhi, Harden, and Butler will all be FA in summer '19.

It's very conceivable that NY winds up with one of those guys given NY should have cap space and KP will likely be a franchise player by then. So @Shogun is right, yes the Knicks are treadmill are now, but they should be fine if they don't do any more short-sighted win now moves and just play for 2019 FA.

:noah: just signed a 4 year deal this summer. he's not gonna be a free agent til summer 2020.

:whoa: That amnesty is how we got rid of Chauncey instead of Amare later on.

As much as I don't like O'Quinn he brings a lot more utility to the starting line. Can shoot the mid-range, occasional threes and has played well defensively.

The Knicks fan base is too impatient, one game at a time please.

Word! shyt drives me crazy at times

just last week everybody was so optimistic
Read through the thread and dudes is talking tanking again and we not even out the
1st full month of the season yet
