And fukk @I.V. for what he's going to say about my Melo stannery :hubie::lolbron:

but thank you for this. Too many Knicks fans are paying attention to the bullshyt narrative about Carmelo. Dude really held the city on his back(didn't make it far, though, lol) and brought us to the playoffs with a torn shoulder and still played through it only to be set at a disadvantage by a J.R Smith suspension. :pacspit:

Melo was the one person backing up Porzingis when Jose Calderon and Derek "implicit european bias" Fischer, who was too busy posting the word cac about Kristaps, decided that they wouldn't pass to the rookie prodigy.

Throughout all of that, Melo gets shytted on even when he's really trying to play the game efficiently.

Thank you again for an objective analysis. :salute:

Also, Story, please get a Medium.com blog account (free) and all you have to do is just post these post game analyses.[It's what I use to post my thoughts and articles David Raskin – Medium)

I would share the shyt out of your Knicks thoughts and, since it's effortless for you, worse case, you'd have a clear and clean record of your Knicks thoughts and at most, it can turn into something really big for you.

I'm always appreciative of you.

:mjlol:

Nah, you're good. You can ride for your guy.

Personally, I just thought they got out played a little yesterday. Melo played well. Rose played pretty well, found some open guys better than he has recently, but got torched on defense. Helo struggled guarding Hayward, and so did pretty much everyone they put on him... he only hit 6-17, but got to the line 14 times. That's three less than the entire Knicks starting five shot. I don't care for whining about the refs, the one call that I saw that was EGREGIOUS was the foul on Lance Thomas when he was going around a pick... and literally touched nobody. But there is a call or two like that every game, that's basketball.

I think they have to figure out a way to use Noah closer to the hoop, and highlight his drop off passes, and his ability to hit cutters and open men, because when he's at the top of the key, his defender just sits in the middle of the defense. It makes it very hard to get uncontested looks around the hoop.

Really, so many of their problems are defense. They're scoring 102 a game. But they're giving up 110. That's crazy. It's a small sample size, and it'll go down... but goddamn. There are so many possessions where they don't bother getting back and stopping guys in transition. Or where they get lazy and just slide under screens to give up open jumpers or open runs to the hoops. It's crazy. And while Porzingis is rangy and a threat, I think we're seeing the difference between a prime big in the middle, in RoLo - who has his problems, but is active around the basket and allows KP to be weakside - and Noah, who simply can't slide over and elevate to contest. You end up depending on Porzingis to do much more work on defense, and he's just not there yet.

As far as the Melo holding the ball shyt. I'll put it like this: I don't think it is fair to complain about him holding the ball when he's not shooting well, but when he's shooting well say "Yo, he was cooking, what else is he supposed to do?" You either want the offense to be more creative, or you don't. You can't have it both ways. I think, right now we're seeing an offense with two guys who like to - and are suited for - isolate and score. Rose on the dribble drive, Melo on the face up from the elbow or wing. Now maybe melo is compensating from starting off slow from 3?

But there are times when the offense shows some real creativity (by design) and there are times where it grinds to a halt. I would rather see is moving more often, see them using the horns and some of those barn door screens to free up looks, and create motion for Melo/KP. They've put together some really interesting sets, and had stretches where they push the ball, get good looks, and move on offense when they're set up.

And then they have stretches where they don't. And more often than not, they end up settling for low-efficiency jumpers in the 14-19 foot range.

I thought Melo played well last night. He didn't play all world basketball, he played well. 12-20, 28-9, That's good basketball. The 0-6 from 3 is ugly, and his defense was not good. But that's life, at this point. That is kind of who he is. I have really enjoyed seeing him as a more willing passer. I had hoped that would lead to the offense opening up more consistently. It has not, and the defense is way way worse.

@I.V. Good post.

Yea, the Defense numbers are so disgusting. I mean, effort is literally the difference between this team being a bottom feeder or being a pesky playoff up-setter.

Nothing has been more disheartening to look at then a game where we all letting people do shyt you'd expect a defense to do in a YMCA pick-up game. The whole team at times seem to treating defense like it's just a short commercial break from the offense.

Someone needs to come in and light some fire under asses.

This would be the final straw. I would stop being a Knicks fan after this. This shyt has fail written all over it. And I'd be supporting a different team. I'm young so I wasn't around for the 70s teams, didn't even see the 90s teams. All I know is the Knicks being shytty, not including the little success early Amare and MELO era had. Sat thru the Isiah Thomas mess, Eddy Curry and all that other fukked up shyt. :gag:

We gotta chance to have a homegrown player, and a franchise leader for years to come. This screams disaster. A.D fukking falls apart physically, (not wishing that on him) and then having to see Kristaps highlights on Sportscenter for the next decade, and the twice a year ether when we play his team and the one time a year he comes to the garden to drop 40 on our fukking heads for a decade out of spite to get the organization back for trading him.

I'd burn on my Knicks gear, slap anyone in close range who's wearing Knicks gear, block the Msg Channel, save money for 3 years to buy court side Knicks tickets, not to watch the game, but just to slap the shyt outta Dolan for letting it happen. Then do that assault bid, all while doing push-ups on my Knuckles the whole sentence thinking about how else I can shyt on this franchise when I get out of prison and using that as motivation to finish my reps when my body tells me to stop.

fukk Trading Kristaps, who not even at his peak, is good for some solid defense and explosive scoring performances, and offensive versatility all while being an afterthought on offense at times.

We trade Kristaps, and I'm done. On piru

Reading the source for the article, that rumor centers around the fact KP was on the bench at the end of the Bulls game

Nevermind that KP picked up his 5th foul in the 4th, the reason for him going to the bench in the 1st place

Nevermind that it was Noah's homecoming and playing Melo at the 4 makes the team better on both ends

Nevermind that the very next game against Utah it was KP on the floor down the stretch instead of Noah

I think we're done here :mjpls:
