How so? He's 18 years old breh. He will already be a 3 year vet by the time he's legally allowed to drink. He will make an impact with his ability to guard people and to hit the open 3. But expecting him to come in and be "lead" guard from day 1 is crazy.
Devin booker was 18 too

How does everyone feel about this draft thus far?
As far as the Knicks go, it went well I think. I was disappointed Isaiah Hartenstein got scooped up one pick before the Knicks in the second though, I didn't think he was worth a top 20 pick like he was projected a few months ago, but I would've gladly used a second on him. Frank Mason going a little early was disappointing too, he can be solid on this level, but Dotson looks fairly versatile, a good catch and shoot player, and if he pans out can bring some much needed athleticism to the back court off of the bench . Frank is gonna be a good player at least, I'm confident of that, but it's gonna be a few years before the pick starts to pay off, and Dennis is gonna be off killing it in Dallas, so it's gonna look bad for a year or two; I just hope the media doesn't shyt on the kid too bad in the mean time.

Yeah, I had eyes on Hartenstein also, I thought he was a really interesting prospect who was sliding far below his value. I like Bell and Bryant also, as possibilities... but Dotson seems like good value.

I'm sure - like the rest of us - I'll be watching DSJ and Monk closely for years to come, grading frank against their performances/career arcs.

But this, to me, was a pretty good draft.

I might have taken a flier on Dozier's athleticism, or Motley's effort/ferocity, or Devin Robinson's versatility with the last pick, but you can't really get upset about 58, yanno?

I think the smart move for Frank would be to bring him off the bench until the ASB, then let him start to close out the season, it's what the Lakers did with Ingram and is generally a good way to get a rookie acclimated to the NBA and letting him have starters minutes for the last 30 or so games.
Nah, throw him out there right from the jump.

No weak shyt allowed. If he can't cut it he can't cut it.

nah willy is gonna be a top 10 center next year. Just wait and see, if we run horny's offense with that lineup we gone win 40 games

:what: We've been going for 40 wins the past 15 years and it's got us nowhere. We need to be patient and rebuild

And I like Wily but he's probably gonna be a real nice rotation player in the future nothing more

He was an all rookie on maybe the worst group of rookies in awhile u need to lower your expectations of him

The other guy I'd like to have seen us grab either with 58 or even as an undrafted is Ben Moore -- one of those "he does enough of everything that he could be super useful" types who was overshadowed on a good team.

Nah, he's not accustomed to the scheduling, you could get him injured doing that.

He's only 18, ease him along and develop him at a slow pace.

thats my point we got one of the best froncourts int he NBA. if melo, kp, and willy play 30 mins or more apiece we can easily make a playoof push. Las year went down the shytter because of phil dumbass. we were good early on when the team had more freedom. fukk the triagnle that shyt is holding us back at this point and players nowdasy are not smart enuff to run it
