Looks like they plan on playing KP at the 4 for another year, and really the team has enough front court players. The guard and wing positions are a way bigger need right now, because as it stands, Ron Baker is the best pg on the team. Finding a stop gap pg to help brink Frank along should be the priority imo, and to keep it real, I bet most free agents aren't even going to look in the direction of the Knicks, so the Knicks signing someone like Paul Milsap seems really unlikely. Why wouldn't they go after a guy like Paul Milsap instead of a pg?
Rose need to go to new Orleans. That p and roll would be unguardable. And we can trade them Lee and oquinn for jrue. That way new Orleans got a solid backcourt. And we got a playmaker next to KP and allow frank to be first guard off benchI think Rose would be good for a stealth tank, but I don't want his style of play fukking with the development of the rest of the team, he's an undersized two at this point. I'd rather the Knicks take on Rubio in a salary dump, he'll probably help the Knicks win a few more games than Rose would, but he won't freeze out the whole team for long stretches of a time either. I can see the Wolves taking a run at Lowry or Teague or somebody, so it could happen.
He can start. I don't care either way. But until we trade melo, we not gonna be able to rebuild and I don't think melo wants to leave. Honestly I'm hoping for Phil to be fired. If we get jrue holidayI don't know what y'all talking about. Frank needs to be starting from day one. fukk all that noise. You don't draft someone at 8th, for them to come off the bench.
With horny allowed to run his system, this team could be good next season
True, we need to let him play and make mistakes. Plus it's not like we contending, so wherever the young Knicks leave us at the end of the year is what it is. We need to be back in lottery next draft.I don't know what y'all talking about. Frank needs to be starting from day one. fukk all that noise. You don't draft someone at 8th, for them to come off the bench.
True I'd still want another guard in the backcourt with him who can handle the ball though, take a little pressure off of him.I don't know what y'all talking about. Frank needs to be starting from day one. fukk all that noise. You don't draft someone at 8th, for them to come off the bench.
So we're already in tank mode?
Let's watch the summer league and preseason before deciding whether Frank should start or not. My thinking having watched his playoff run is that if he can stay out of foul trouble (which is a problem for every rookie but especially defensive minded ones), it could be worth throwing him into the fire to start building chemistry with KP and Willy. But he'll probably be better off as the second ball handler early. I really feel like Lee for Rubio makes some sense if Thibs is determined to give dude away and wants a reliable shooter in return. Rubio's not too old, cost controlled for a couple of years and wouldn't steal looks from our young developing big men like most other options would. I also just read that Teodosic is looking for 3 years 30 million dollars; for 10 mil a season, I'd absolutely look into that addition even if he's older. 10 mil per is probably gonna be too few to sign starting caliber guards this offseason. So either of those two would be nice to me. Rubio, Frank, KP, Willy locked into starting roles; last spot depends on if Melo really is determined to stick it out or not. But I'd prefer to see him off to a playoff team so we could go full tank and hope for Doncic or Porter. Rubio, Frank, Porter Jr. or Doncic, KP, Willy in 2019 would be a lot of fun to watch.
Yes it is. It's better than at last season and if KP plays up to his potential we can easily win 40 or more games. Last season we won 32 games with a shyt offensive system, a poorly contrusted team, and a gm that shytted on our players for no reasonNo.
They can not be. Look at that roster again, that is not a good team. It's young, it has some pieces, but it is not good.
