Brehs...
I'm actually happier w/ the Noah signing today than I was mid-season.
Since there seems to be more of a consensus among our Knicks ilk about the "hoped for" direction of the franchise, rebuilding is priorities no. 1 through 8. Which means enjoying the yout dem, having meticulous dialogue about the development we are seeing, and hoping the signed veterans understand their role of passing on the tools of the trade.
I don't know what's going in the locker room but I'm going on the assumption that Noah is a great locker room guy and is probably active in practice - it can only help Willy/KP/
Louis Labeyrie(hopefully he decides to play in season).
My issue still is the increased toxicity created by Phil. I'm only just now realizing that outside of the Oakley debacle, Dolan wasn't really toxic, he was just incompetent.
Phil is toxic and his competency is inconsistent and archaic.
Even if KP were traded, I imagine outside of the most timid young players, there would be issues w/ any strong willed young man - I love the picks we've had under him, I just want Phil gone immediately.
Crazy note no. 2: I actually still want Hornacek to stay. He's not winning any chips here and we aren't looking to win chips any time soon, but I actually do think he's a good coach, especially for yougn prospects willing to
PLAY PICK & ROLL.
Derrick Rose needs to be signed elsewhere. He's had his issues and I enjoyed him early on but he is not the type of PG we need to see moving forward w/ KP. I'm not even trying trying to disparage him, I think he could find a place on a competitive team.
Melo, for everyone's sake, needs to be allowed to move on from us. As long as Phil is here, it's going to be too distracting. Even if Phil goes, we are too deep into rebuild mode to unfairly place another President in the position to promise Melo/KP that attempts will be made to get us quickly in a "contending" conversation.
The ship has been fatally breached and the only goal is to get it back to port for salvage so we can rebuild a new ship on the way to a chip.
Melo, if he cares about the last legs of his legacy, needs to be apart of a team that goes deep in the 'offs. Melo, if he cares about quality of life and low stress, needs to be apart of a low/mid demanding role on a well oiled team. Melo, if he cares about professionalism, needs to give one great fukk you to the NY media/Phil by cooperating w/ a trade and forcing the nefarious parties to stop relying on the Melo cloud to avoid actually doing work.
I expect
BIG THINGS from KP this year, y'all. I expect a domination of mixmatches, I expect more put backs, and I expect a more refined and clean game from him.

How does everyone feel about this draft thus far?
Breh, I am very content w/ Frank [Knee-Lee-Keena](trying to practice the name). I love his demeanor and his answer of "the gym" being what he's excited about when he gets here - reminds me of KP.
He seems like a worker and, most importantly, a young man who sees opportunity and takes advantage of it.
Apparently Dotson/Hayes are solid pick ups w/ respect to their draft position so I'm looking forward to them
NOT being Cleanthony Early(where is that kid?)

W/ that being said, I might start the offseason thread.
