:wow::wow: A young nikka sexy.

:wow: Make it happen, Phil.

The only way I see this is if the Knicks GM is on some Garry Kasporav 8 moves ahead of you chess shyt...

Where the Celtics and Melo agreed that they'd be willing partners for the no. 1 pick but it would have to be Melo and another substantial player. That substantial player would be tradeable for a collection of picks in the teens but an 8th pick would be too expensive so we traded down, kept one and traded the other two and Lee or someone for a SOLID above average player on a good contract and then flipped HIM, Melo and the pick that was remaining for the no. 1 and some pieces.

:wow: It's all fantasy, though.

:mjgrin::mjgrin: And then you woke up.

Man, you just can't take Reddikk on a huge deal. You can't. His defense is already sagging. But that Rubio deal is solid. Not my favorite, but could be good, and you could still draft somebody like Frank to keep the shooting/versatility/length at the guard spot.

frank :francis: if these nikkas pick this dude at 8

He doesn't play much on his int'l teams. But that's kind of how the international game works. He put the clamps on DJ Cooper in the first round, Cooper had played his ass off this season.

But you catch an auto L for using an Eagles gif. :yeshrug:

The dude I'm feeling in the second round, who still doesn't appear to have much buzz is Bolden.

Obviously not at Batums levels (especially on rebounds) but I expect him to operate as a SG who is also a major ball handler like the video above. I don't think Frank is a PG, but a wing with PG handle who can shoot. aka a traditional SG but you don't see a lot of those in the league anymore

Offensively making points from cutting inbetween screens to get open, shooting from catch and shoot, Passing to shooters off the Pick N Roll, shooting the 3 if the guy guarding him goes under the screen.

Interesting. I think Frank still projects best as a point guard, just because I don't think he has the quick twitch necessary to beat wings with any kind of length off the dribble. But I think he's long enough to use it to get by and shoot over PGs.

But this definitely puts what you were saying with the Batum thing in context. You see him as a wing facilitator. Giving them flexibility at the other guard spots to go with scorers, defenders, etc.

If his career is Batum like while that's far from a bust I want to shoot higher with our pick then the 5th best player on a title team level player

It's bizarre how conflicting the rumors are.
Knicks want Reddikk...Knicks want Rubio...Knicks looking to eat salary for Portland's pick (and the rumor is Harkless who I like as a target). Knicks scouting midround players as they chase a second first round pick.

On one hand are some win-nowish moves and on the other are clear rebuild moves. I can't make heads or tails any more but I hope the Portland one is the real and if it only takes Lee to acquire Rubio, I'd do that too. He'd really be helpful for KP and Willy's development and looks.
