Just kicking around ideas here...I think the knicks will need a vet PG no matter who they draft and I'm looking at Patty Mills...a bit older than I'd like, but still hitting his prime (27) and I'd expect him to be a better value than cheaper vet PGs or the expensive top PG's in the class. If we're not chasing Teodosic and especially if we're adding Frank who could play both Guard spots, I wouldn't mind checking how much Mills is looking for...we could use a guy from the Spurs locker room in ours too.

Patty Mills ain't making the difference between lottery and crappy pick fam. He's just a nice stop gap at hopefully a decent price so we can deal him when our understudy (aka Frank) is ready for the reins.
Use the cap space to take on bad contracts. I hope we're able to exploit Portland when they want to make a move.

With that being said, We need a future with defense being a part of our identity.
We need stars/impact players first then you find role players to fit around them
I'm not drafting a glue guy/role player at 8. We need a lot more talent first

Fair enough if that's what he actually meant. My point with him though is forget about this current team. when we're any good again one or two players will still be here that are here now so how the draft pick fits in with the current players other then KP means nothing to me.
