Let me ask you a question, if the Knicks trade lee , trade melo ( or melo remains ) and KP whoever we draft Willy etc lead us to 30 win season how will you feel ?
the knicks wont win that many games...and if they did...more power to them...that would mean talent developed enough to equal the same production we had with veterans...and if thats the case...why did we have them here to begin with?

this is basically like saying...would you rather be the timberwolves or the knicks....
we had essentially the same record...except...they had young players all over the court...something to look forward to...and we just have KP...maybe willy...and a bunch of veterans that arent cohesive enough to win 40+ games. (rose, noah, lee, melo)
we know what these vets are....we dont know what these young players can turn into.
the unknown >>>>>> the known....at this point.

I would feel great, because that puts us in position to be at the top of the 2018 NBA draft where given the current circumstances we need to be.

Now will you answer the question I previously asked of the anti-tankers?

If third year KP and second year Willy plus whichever rookie we add are already pumping 30 wins into the record, I'll be pretty happy. It'll leave us in a solid draft position and that'd mean those three are showing promise because I'd expect less than 30 if KP and Willy are the centerpieces this early in their development tbh. No slight on them either, they're young and have a lot to learn still is all.

If The knicks were to end up with any of: Isaac, Fox, Frank, DSJ, Tatum -- they'll be in good shape. Honestly, Monk, too.

Not as good as if we got Fultz or maybe Ball or Jackson... but still good.

Plus two second round picks that could allow us to trade up into the late first or early second...

Yep, the first pick seems all but guaranteed to give us something promising and the talk is the Knicks want another first (hopefully the Reddikk rumor means the Knicks expect to turn Lee into a second first round pick). Those second rounders are gonna be really interesting, I see a bit of Monte Morris hype building...intriguing second round swing if we wind up with a Forward.

Begley said the Knicks are trying to get a second pick maybe at the end of the lottery. He said the Knicks liked Justin Jackson (another player that would fit the triangle and defends)

Anyhow he said they could trade down or perform another trade for the pick. 14, 15, and 16 all seem like picks to me that their teams might be willing to move.

I'm not interested in moving back from our current spot.

BUT -- Donovan Mitchell and Anunoby in the middle of the round could be incredibly useful pieces, too. Patton, Allen, Jeanne are all interesting bigs in that mid-late 1st range.

I'm not for trading down this isn't the NFL there's only a handful of impact players in each draft no matter how good it is

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I could understand the Sixers trading down if they could get the 5/10, but trading down from the 8 doesn't make any kind of sense.

As for Courtney Lee, I'd wait to see what happens with the Clippers, if they lose Redikk and retain everyone else I'd be on the phone with them asking for a future first in like 2021. Real predatory type trade with no protections :demonic:

Listening to the woj podcast with Mannix I'm leaning more towards DSJ

He's got huge issues with his size and the fact he gave up on his team but he has a huge upside

The way they described Ntkilina he's not explosive a reluctant scorer basically not a huge upside guy

You gotta take chances in the draft and take the guy with the highest upside

That's why u take a chance on a Porzingis over a "safer" pick like Winslow
