Good points, I can't stand Phil but these are good points.:francis:
So why did Phil sign Noah and keeping horrible rambis
Ok so CAA didn't force the Knicks hand repeatedly to appease their best client until Phil came and basically fired all of them? Keep in mind it's deeper than Melo Dolan had CAA working with him to figure out some major deal with Chase Bank so to keep them happy Melo (and other CAA clients) got preferential treatment? Remember Chris Smith being no where near NBA worthy of a player making the Knicks?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...-caa-ties-are-problem-in-locker-room.amp.html

We're just going to ignore all of those CAA years?

Ok let's specifically talk about Melo running Pringles out of town because he didn't want to run his system (sounds familiar) because he preferred to ISO when the ball got into his hands. Now look at COY pringles.... in Houston running a team of players built around a system we all throught was bullshyt (though I admit rule changes helped)

Also what is "just a player" mean we see star players exert heavy influence on teams all the time. Look at Lebron......

All this and add a shyt ton of lost draft picks that at least 3 became all stars and I am more than fukking ok with Phil Jackson. The dysfunction starts with Dolan, but at least Phil has some goal in mind besides making money and getting celebrities to sit through bad basketball games.

All of you guys are getting Nostalgic over a worse past or acting like this isn't the normal process for shytty teams to get better.

We need to tank now, get younger guys who might actually develop, and wait for bad contracts like Noah to expire. Arguably Phil's rings and giant EGO is the only reason Dolan hasn't interfered and threw in a pick to get Reggie Jackson or some other god damn fukkery. Be happy we can even talk about a lottery pick ususally we would be talking about how some other team was going to use our lottery pick.
uoir points are horrible !! The Knicks won more games after Pringles left and went further in the playoffs . He also tried to trade melo in his prime to build around Lin. Your acting like he left the Knicks then won the championships he failed with the fukking lskers too . He's not a good coach for big markets

Y'all gon get a AS in this draft, it's just like 2015 when ya was tripping about beating the Hawks and Spurs.

:comeon: that was the difference between us having Karl Towns on the team.

At this point I wonder if the Knicks should maybe absorb a bad contract like Evan Turner (who would be real good in the triangle)

Evan Turner can't be good. Ever.

But for some picks, maybe you deal with it.

It's A Wrap For Derrick, Feel Bad For Em

He should go somewhere on a cheapish deal, be a scoring backup guard, and be happy.

I'll now acknowledge I erred in championing the a Rose trade.

It could still be salvaged if Holiday resigns with a great contact.

Nah, it can't.

But it was largely a roster reset anyway. Even though we gave up the best player in the trade (Lopez), we were really just trying to dump years on a deal. So-- whatever.

Check it fam, Lance Thomas and Kuz are both trade targets...Can we get Hezonja? Prolly not but I'd inquire in a heartbeat. Either way, this is my point about cheap role players...teams are willing to take them off your hands if you really need that cap space, so adding them when you have a chance (key being for a reasonable price tag) is beneficial. They help your team identity while they play and they're easily moved, sometimes bringing back decent assets depending on the circumstances.

I just feel like they have damn near every SF or big Forward in the league on this list. I personally don't see a big deal with it. Seems like they're still trying to replace Tobias Harris.

It's more a supporting point to the discussion a couple days ago of "why sign role players when we're rebuilding?" and my comment that "you can move those guys if you need cap space" is all. Not a big deal, just shows teams are interested in these guys. Phx wanted Kuz at the deadline too.

Ay, i didn't even see their names the first time i looked:ohhh:(his handwriting sucks in my defense). Go after Hezonja, i think he has a decently high ceiling offensively. Or go after payton if the Magic draft a pg. Guys like Stanley Johnson or Hezonja should be trade targets for the Knicks this off-season.

Random thought: Last season there was a clear logjam at C for the Nuggets and they gave Nurkic up (and a pick if I'm not mistaken) for a Plumlee bro fam...this season, they have a similar problem at SG. Murray is guaranteed to stick, Harris and Barton though...both have taken turns dealing with some injuries but also balling when they get minutes. I'd inquire on Barton, does a bit of everything and looks better every year. He's cheap, has one year left and will need a raise after that while the Nuggets would still have two strong young SG's to take his place...maybe we can get in on dude for a one year audition.
