JJ most outlier skill is passing and he isn't good enough at it to be point guard level at it and his attributes aren't crazy enough dominant physically like lebron or giannis.

Lately, I been feeling Jonathan Isaac. He's on the skinny side at 6'10 210 lb. but his potential is crazy, some of y'all told me he was a project because of his weight but we saw KP be a contributor in his rookie year. I like him because of his physical attributes once he fills out him and KP could be scary with the length, fluidity, and athletic ability at both those forward spots (Isaac | 7'1 1/4th wingspan, KP | 7'6 wingspan).

He's one of those guys who had a late growth spurt so he played a lot of guard in HS, so he has good ball handling ability and a great hesitation dribble, he can score inside and out, and has a lot of potential as a defender. I can't sleep on a 6'10 combo forward who can score inside and out if we can't get any of the projected top 3, I'm going with Isaac.

Son is from the Bronx too :sas2:

Draft Issac, trade lee for a late first and gamble on Giles if he slips that far; go all potential or bust. Issac,Giles, and KP could be the most lethal front court in the nba if they all pan out in a few years.

Bro everything (save drafting) that the Knicks have done since the Melo Trade has been to appease Melo. The CAA era was real and since then the Knicks have been trying to force their way to a playoff spot. I mean a better team could of built around Melo maybe if they hadn't used so many assets to get him here to begin with.

Phil has been bad at trades, and FA. I won't blame Melo for that. Phil isn't innocent, but Melo isn't innocent because he created the Hole Phil came to manage.
He's a player. This is all bullshyt.

Yo, are y'all really feeling Josh Jackson like that? I like his I.Q. and athletic ability (he's no Iggy who he gets compared to). But, I don't know I'm not confident in his shooting ability at all, he shot 56% from the FT line which is horrific as a wing and he has a huge dip on his shot. I just don't see how he is an effective shooter at the NBA-level with this form on catch-and-shoots and off the dribble.

:scust:

Also, at 6'8 with a 6'9 3/4 wingspan he isn't really all that special in that department, he had some off the court issues (property damage case, kicked a girl's car in), and on the court he racked up many technical fouls last year. Also, already 20 years old as a freshman. While, I saw some good court vision from him and he's definitely unselfish for a Point Forward his handle didn't look all that impressive although I think he played a lot of 4.

I see NBADraft.net has him going #1 now, a lot of people is super high on him and think he can be better than Andrew Wiggins. :patrice:

I'm bugging? @Malta @tremonthustler1

The hitch in his jumper got fixed a bit. That clip is from when he first got on campus. He shot a lot better from when 2017 started and he started doing more things recommended like separating his fingers more on the ball.

The off the court issues there is more than what is being told as the university can't really let him speak on his side.

Ok so CAA didn't force the Knicks hand repeatedly to appease their best client until Phil came and basically fired all of them? Keep in mind it's deeper than Melo Dolan had CAA working with him to figure out some major deal with Chase Bank so to keep them happy Melo (and other CAA clients) got preferential treatment? Remember Chris Smith being no where near NBA worthy of a player making the Knicks?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...-caa-ties-are-problem-in-locker-room.amp.html

We're just going to ignore all of those CAA years?

Ok let's specifically talk about Melo running Pringles out of town because he didn't want to run his system (sounds familiar) because he preferred to ISO when the ball got into his hands. Now look at COY pringles.... in Houston running a team of players built around a system we all throught was bullshyt (though I admit rule changes helped)

Also what is "just a player" mean we see star players exert heavy influence on teams all the time. Look at Lebron......

All this and add a shyt ton of lost draft picks that at least 3 became all stars and I am more than fukking ok with Phil Jackson. The dysfunction starts with Dolan, but at least Phil has some goal in mind besides making money and getting celebrities to sit through bad basketball games.

All of you guys are getting Nostalgic over a worse past or acting like this isn't the normal process for shytty teams to get better.

We need to tank now, get younger guys who might actually develop, and wait for bad contracts like Noah to expire. Arguably Phil's rings and giant EGO is the only reason Dolan hasn't interfered and threw in a pick to get Reggie Jackson or some other god damn fukkery. Be happy we can even talk about a lottery pick ususally we would be talking about how some other team was going to use our lottery pick.

Good points, I can't stand Phil but these are good points.:francis:

My draft goals are

1) Josh Jackson
2) Frank Ntilikina
3) D'aaron Fox
4) Malik Monk
5) Justin Jackson

I am not going to lie I had hoped the Knicks could of got pick #4 and traded with the Kings for #7 & #10 and came away with Frank Ntilikina and Justin Jackson....... those two fit the triangle and play good defense for their positions.

I don't know, for the right price it's definitely tempting. But he'd still have to be a willing passer and then there's the whole disappearance act. But at the same time if we rebuilding he's not really "needed":jbhmm:

His game as is, is perfect off the bench. Just come in and GO. Score at will with the second unit.

Have mock drafts been fluctuating alot, brehs?

Yea. This is a unique year in the NBA where a lot of these guys are so close in potential that teams will end up drafting for need like the NFL. There are so many teams comfortable enough at pg that we could see one of those top 5 PGs fall out the top 10 potentially for instance.

I don't think Giles makes it past the lottery.
