Assuming the top 3 picks are Fultz, Ball and Jackson, that leaves Tatum (who most likely goes 4), Fox and Smith.
Between those 3, you probably have to go with Fox and pray he learns how to shoot. Tatum is good but redundant on a team that will still have Melo on it, and Smith doesn't get as much love as Fox because he's not as tall/long so you worry about his defense.
They could always trade down and take a chance on Ntilikina, he has the height/length that Phil loves and can morph between the 1 & 2.
Bruh, I don't think they can afford to draft Fox and hope he learns to shoot. That seems SO risky to me. I'd much rather take somebody like Tatum in that situation. Let him be redundant with Melo until we unload melo or his contract is up.
I wish Dennis Smith played some damn defense.
Like KP has taken such great strides this season
Improved his FG% and 3pt% on more shots over more minutes, increased his finishing rate around the rim by 10+ points, and on the other side of the ball, he became and elite defender at the rim.
He was ahead of where he was supposed to be last year, and he improved this season, working amid a shytstorm of a season, with a bunch of washed up vets that can't get it done anymore AND refuse to run the offensive sets.
It's fine to not like KP, or to think Melo is still a star, or whatever... but let's not ignore facts, just because our feelings are hurt. It is unbecoming.
