Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
arguably his biggest strength is also in transition...and the way the roster is constructed...with melo still thinking he's a center piece...theres not gonna be very many people running up and down unfortunately.
he's good at catch and shoot though...which would be nice in the triangle.
but the knicks are somewhere in between running hornaceks offense and some morphed garbage triangle :francis:.... that confusion can stunt a young players growth....shoutout to kp

Phil needs to drop the obsession with the triangle, or at the very least use a modified version like the Warriors do, where they start the shyt like 28 feet out.

I think if yall do luck into a top 2 draft pick it's basically the end of the Melo era, and whatever he wants the team to do will be met with :camby: as the youth movement will be in full effect.

Kristaps Porzingis says Knicks are ‘not that good of a team’ | New York Post

Yes the negativity & losing is starting to affect KP  #FreeKP #FreeMelo #FreeRose #FreeDaGuys

One of the worst defensive players in the league at SF has nothing to do with them being a bad team doe, right? :mjlol:

Like KP has taken such great strides this season :mjlol:
i'll take an excerpt from the article YOU posted yourself
Anthony’s 23-point scoring average doesn’t tell the story. He’s been mediocre on defense, not moving well, and his 43.6 percent shooting ranks third-worst among the league’s top 25 scorers. Anthony, ranked 19th in scoring, hasn’t played well off Porzingis despite their easy friendship. Also, Rose and the 7-foot-3 Latvian never established an on-court or off-court connection.
you gonna only agree with certain parts of the article....the ones that absolve melo for being ass.
:pachaha: cmon man...too easy.

But KP has been tearing sh*t up right

Cats are going to be hurt when he decides to bolt via fa:mjgrin:

KP doesn't deserve this toxic team:damn:

Mediocre defender, not the worst. We've been saying that his whole career, that is nothing new.

Porzingis has had a very good 2nd season and improved across the board, not sure why you'd want him to leave in FA especially since the Knicks damn sure wont lose him.

Help is on the way for Porzingis, via the draft, he wont have to play with two ball stoppers soon.

Assuming the top 3 picks are Fultz, Ball and Jackson, that leaves Tatum (who most likely goes 4), Fox and Smith.

Between those 3, you probably have to go with Fox and pray he learns how to shoot. Tatum is good but redundant on a team that will still have Melo on it, and Smith doesn't get as much love as Fox because he's not as tall/long so you worry about his defense.

They could always trade down and take a chance on Ntilikina, he has the height/length that Phil loves and can morph between the 1 & 2.

Good looking breh :salute: bout to do my Googles on Fox and Smith. I seen some clips on Ntlikina before kid looks nice and our overseas scouts been doing us good so far so I guess he'd be realistic too.

actually carmelo is among the worst at his position in the league.
he simply cannot defend other 3s.
this isnt even a bashing melo thing...he's lost his lateral movement...so what kept him average defensively is letting him down to become a sieve
his past offensive ability allowed you to live with him being average cause he'd torch his matchup effeciently...he doesnt do that anymore.
i know you dont like statistics or metrics...but its documented...melo is pretty damn bad

So brehs if our pick lands between 4-6 who would we go for/be best for us? :jbhmm:

Rumor mill has them liking Frank and Monk, in which case I think they could possibly trade down to 8-10 range if it brought back some gifts with it. The way Fox has played in tournament mode makes him tough to pass up imo but if you could trade down and still come away with Frank or Dennis Smith plus an added pick or asset...I say that's the way to move. But Fox has me impressed, defensive motor is on point and like @ikbm said the form looks solid on his jumper...Might be cognitive bias because I'm not looking at the numbers here but it feels like his jumper has visible improvement from earlier on when I really wasn't feeling optimistic about it.

Melo is an awful defender now.The fact that he dropped off so much from last year is why I said I think he checked out some pages ago. I know Melo is on the decline, but to go from average last year, to arguably the worst defender at your position this year, is too sharp of a drop off for me to completely attribute it to age, some of that is him just not giving a fukk.

Top 7 players I want the Knicks to draft ( Not a mock of how I think the top 7 will shake out )

1: Fultz ( if the Knicks land him:wow:)
2:Josh Jackson
3:Lonzo Ball
4:Jonathan Issac
5:De'arron Fox
6:Frank Ntilikina
7:Jayson Tatum

4-7 is close to me though, I'd be happy with any one of those guys.

If Melo is such a bad teammate & defender, why hasn't KP won a game without him

I can't wait to see the excuses for him next season though

GoNYGo:mjgrin:
he has...terrible observation though

i'm almost certain you dont even watch the games...this game happened 2 weeks ago
nice try tho
that speaks to the general lack of cohesive talent on this team. melo is good enough to take you to a 30 win record....clearly you're comfortable with going 30-52 every year as long as melo is in that orange and blue tho

:francis: im not quite held up on ball....
kristaps in half court right now...is him being lethal in the pick and pop/roll....cause of his range and mobility....and ball doesnt run pick and roll all that much...
then again we're forcing this stupid ass triangle.....:francis:

Ball is smart enough to run it well imo. My biggest sticking point for wanting Ball so badly is his unselfishness. What made that 12-13 team so good was Kidd's passing was infectious. Him making the extra pass all the time made the other guys do the same. A lot of people say the same thing about Ball. His willingness to make the right pass at the right time has the whole team doing it.
