I really like both Rubio and Beverly, but it's such a "stuck in the middle" instead of tanking or going for it move. The only way it'd make a semblance of sense is if the Wolves deal include a pick swap option for the Knicks, that way Rubio and Beverly improving the team wouldn't wreck their draft position...but I don't even know if the Wolves have a pick this season.
Being dead set on Trading MELO/Rose makes sense only if you're trying to do a full rebuild/tank. When you start talking about Reggie Jackson and Ricky Rubio. The idea no longer makes sense. Why shed a contract, only to take two more on? Then on top of that Rose is playing on an expiring contract, so what sense does it make to take on more contracts of players who are not going to take you anywhere special? It doesn't even make sense.
Just like the Fisher deal.
Just like wanting to trade MELO and bashing him to waive is NTC, while simultaneously lowering his market value by cosigning articles that trash him.
Just like the Noah contract
Just like trading Robin Lopez and his cap friendly contract for another player you're currently trying to get rid of In Rose.
Just like getting rid of Woodson.
Just like giving MELO a no trade or even resigning him if A full rebuild was what you wanted to do
It's like he's just doing shyt to see what works. No direction. No plan. Just random shyt.
This guy is an idiot.
