I don't really know much about the BX, but I would say East NY because the 75th Precinct comprises much of East New York, and includes the areas of Cypress Hills, Starrett City and City Line. Even though crime in the area has been reduced by 80 percent since 1990, the area is still plagued by violence. And it often has the most murders of any New York City Precinct.

When you talk about the BX all you gotta mention is Mott Haven and Morrisania everyone else is in very distant 3rd place when it comes to ratchedness.

I was in Williamsburg last night, left a restaurant and saw five white tattooed hipsters rolling DICE (cee lo!) against some apartment steps! Dudes had cash out and everything!
Bushwick is just like that now @wow. What street in Williamsburg? I bet money it was on the south side.

nikka....that's my hood. Bushwick houses right down the hill. Can't say I'm surprised, though. It was getting like that in 2005 when I left, even before that, really.

my nikka, are there even any Ricans left on that street? I drove through there earlier this year and thought I was in the Village. Even the bodegas looked out of place.

lol they becoming extinct there too. I used to live on Starr and St Nicholas (Jefferson St. Stop on the L), and there's all sorts of little bars and clubs back there. I even saw an art gallery on Morgan Ave last time up there.
