IMO Crown Heights is the best neighborhood in New York City right now, by far.

if you arent pretentious, a c00n, racist, nazi, just a cool ass homie who got love for everybody of any race.

If you want the carefree hipsters, you got that gentrified pocket west of Nostrand, north of Eastern Parkway. You want the hood blacks, they still there. West Indians (Haitians, Jamaicans, Trinis, anything u want) they still there in strong numbers. Mixing up the pot you see them Hasidic Jews, and we all know they look like nobody else out there.

Within a few blocks you got the most aesthetic library in, forget New York City, the most aesthetic I've ever seen in my life!

Looks like a Pharoahs tomb!:gladbron:

around the corner from that you got a huge park, Prospect Park, thats a legit park. You dont have the tourists clogging up the place like CP:scusthov:. its peaceful and activities often happen. Feels like Brooklyns little secret:ninja2:

Youre walking distance from Barclays Center and easy access to the best train lines, the 2/5. Fresh trains with easy access anywhere uptown/downtown Manhattan.

As far as housing, you got money and want condo style lofts? You got em in Prospect Heights/Washington ave area. You living like a regular nikka, they got something for you too plehboi:myman:

Last but not least, world famous Eastern Parkway. Its live, its fresh, its therapeutic at anyday at anytime... Lets not forget the place looks like this on Labor Day:

Crown Heights is in that perfect little pocket between gentrification and legit Brooklyn neighborhood.

:myman:what do YOU think is the best pocket to live in, I'm tryna get some native opinions:ld:

Another note. TROPFEST 2013. Anybody went to this? Happened on June 22 in Prospect Park. It's the worlds largest indie short film festival. Things like this is why I say it's like it's bks little secret.
I didn't even hear of it until the day of, browsing yelp for a place to eat; but let me tell u brehs this joint was LIVE. This was the scene:

It's said over 22,000 people showed up. Everybody just chillin on the grass, good truck food, good music, cool films. Just a great time. Moreso it was the energy, you hit a corner along the path in Prospect Park, and it opened up into a sea of people:dwillhuh:. It felt like I was apart of history. Never been to a 'festival' with that much people stacked, but free (not like the caging barricades nypd uses in manhattan:scusthov:)

You had the full moon rising in the backdrop, felt like history, felt like I was at Woodstock:blessed:

:salute:...great F'n post. down the hill on Washington there's a bar called Half Court Sport Sports bar...It's black owned :salute:

but, they always be opening up late :manny:

It's a pool table in there, $1.50/per game. Can't beat that. Better than $12/hr up on 7th ave.

Is anyone else dedicating their lives to gentrification?

At this point im so involved... playing small roles in big projects and big roles in small projects... its ill.. rebuilding americas great cities is a noble cause

Hyde Park is the definition of that shyt

How is the gentrification process in the Chi? Based on what I have read it seems like is more like D.C. than NYC in that you have middle class POC moving into poor neighborhoods rather than the average white hipster
