No signs of overheating or slowing either. This uptick is purely fundamental. I give up. I am throwing in the towel

I'll let you know when everything gets wrapped up, looking at sometime this summer. With any luck pay it off in 5-10 years, then rent it out most likely.

I suspect the next mayor of NYC will be the one to announce they will tear down the projects in the south bronx.

There's no economic benefit to gentrifying that area.

There's one way to gentrify the borough and bring it back to pre white flight levels: Shut down Interstate 95 and fill it in. That's how you'd jack up property values. You stand a better chance of doing that than shutting down Section 8 housing. Section 8 in the BX could live damn near anywhere, so you'd have to tear down every tenement.

My only issue about that is that many of the people I know who've moved down south is that they have more than one job in order to make it.

Who'd want that?
