My and my girl combined would be about 150. Not having kids.

Fuk living in manhattan and I'd say move to Queens...I'd say Brooklyn, but Queens is better spaced out, cleaner and easier parking. You might even luck up and get a condo in the bx as the surrounding area is on the come up.

Manhattan is all I know. I would consider Brooklyn and Queens has to be in the lic area. fukk the Bronx, I'd rather live in Staten Island.

You have 2 condos right, one in a desirable neighborhood, one somewhere like Bay Ridge

Same size, same amenities, same quality of service... the maintenance at the more desirable place will be like 4x as much as the Bay Ridge place. When the supers and staff at both buildings do the same exact things. The whole thing is a fukking racket.

You've got to consider taxes, water, electricity, the cost of maintenance...

A couple hundred unit in manhattan isn't the same realm as a 10-50 unit in Bay Ridge.


You also have to consider where you want to live and your quality of life there.

I'd be willing to pay more to live in downtown brooklyn, the west village, ues, uws, than somewhere in Queens or where ever.

SI is nice. 25 min ride to the south ferry. Express Buses without any riff raff from Crown Heights, Bed Stuy, Bushwick, New Lots, Jamaica/Hollis, etc

My pops is from Africa and he hasn't gone to a lot of places + done a lot of things since he came here, and now he regrets it

I dont see where the disgrace is. Most black people in the NE are not living lives worth aspiring to, lets just keep it funky. I cant be 50 and not own property, or be spending 10-15 hours a week just trying to get to work, thats crazy.

Have we not learned the lessons these mid-western types have taught us? That it doesn't matter where you live in NYC as long as you're willing pay up and have some creativity to better your neighborhood. They turned most of shytty Brooklyn into vibrant neighborhoods.

Now they're about to revitalize and turn rundown boogie down Bronx into the most happening place to be in a decade or so Meanwhile you want to pay extra for name recognition.

I simply disagree. We do own stuff. I just love this city, maybe I'm bias, but I don't know anywhere else that is good. Chicago but Half the city is a no go. LA has the same problems with out the snow.
