Naw, its just some bullshyt sponsored by greedy ass real estate developers, only concerned with keeping up their dollars and cashing in on a trend. I'm looking at it from a more wider view.
So what is your solution?

Nothing because obviously that shyt isn't going to happen. Just laughed at how out of touch these developers are that they are so money driven to the point that they're foolish or underestimate people's intelligence. They think of the short term but not the long.

And it's beginning to appear that the core of generation y is reaching it's coming of age where the whole culture since thats who it was marketed that gentrification is relying on is slowly dying out as the decade is coming to a close. In other words, people are FINALLY starting to wake up and see this bullshyt for what it is mainly because reality is hitting folks. That future is looking bleak. I got the feeling that a big backlash is coming soon. When that recession hits, :whew:

What is the long term issue with this potential bridge and increased bus service and increased trains on other lines?

There's gonna be a recession basically and obviously, the money is gonna stop coming in and people will leave. It may even affect the mta end up cutting services and the tunnel will take longer to complete. You know how NYC never finishes it's construction projects on time.

The real estate developers know this. They are trying to cash in as much as they can while people are coming in. That's why they are proposing that shyt now even though the l train tunnel isn't even supposed to shut down until 2019. They know that folks are gonna bounce out the city and etc. It's winding down.

You are aware that nyc metro has the most people that have migrated any other metro area in the us in the past two years? There's people coming in and there's a lot of people that are leaving too.

You realize that people keep moving to nyc from other states and countries and every metric has the population continuing to grow? It’s not the 70s. Every major cities is increasing in population . Even Newark has been increasing since 2000

The idea that whites will abandon nyc in five years is a fantasy

People with money will not leave. Sorry

FIXED.

Young, unmarried, no kids/no intention of having kids folks ain't leaving NYC in large numbers. My advice to young Black people who want to live in NYC long term is simple, go to CUNY to decrease your debt exposure and abandon the idea of having kids. Don't like that advice well you can always head to Charlotte or Atlanta to live out the TV version of the American dream.:yeshrug:

Trust me, fam. They are. I've seen it with my own two eyes. Most of the transplants will bounce. They have the options too. The natives will stay. If they move, it's more than likely they will stay outside the city but within the metro area. It's no thing to see native nyc'ers move to new Jersey or south east Connecticut. The only reason why nyc population increased is because of the babies and the immigrants.

Dude why are going back and forward with this loser. The guy is hoping for a recession. Blacks got hurt worse in the last one and these people he complains about will just move to the areas where other minority’s will be hit because they won’t take such severe hits. He sees think in simple ways. He thinks everyone will be on equal ground if this recession happens. He believes every hipster will be reduced to equal with everyone else. These people can afford 3,000 a month for rent so if they get hit they will just go to where it’s 2,000 a month and not miss a step.

And you're in this thread to do what exactly? :pachaha:

Honestly, I just think you're trolling this thread at this point. If you're trying to make anybody in here mad, you're losing. Try harder. :umad:

Feel free to disagree with what's said and drop why you disagree but enough with all that extra shyt.
